    Manager - Platforms Project Delivery.Bayobab

    Job Description

    Mission

    • The Program Manager will drive VAS project planning activities and own service levels for Bayobab Opco onboarding, customer acquisitions, contracts and customer connectivity service. S/he will provide business planning visibility, win/loss analysis, review cost components, create and distribute in-life customer collaterals. The role will work closely with Sr. Commercial Manager VAS and measure effectiveness of our commercial initiatives
    • The role will own, develop and report progress of day-to-day commercial activities, manage migrations and co-ordinate with internal & external stakeholders involved in the VAS business

    Key Performance Areas

    The Program Manager will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

    • Project Management
    • Manage the onboarding of Bayobab Opcos and migration of 100% international SMS traffic on to Y’ello Connect SMS Hub.
    • Manage the onboarding of new customers, and migration of existing, International SMS traffic onto Y’ello Connect SMS Hub from a project planning perspective.
    • Manage distribution of price sheets, reach lists and other customer facing material for MTN Opcos, 3rd parties and associates of Y’ello Connect SMS Hub.
    • Manage set-up of all peripheral upstream and downstream support systems like routing, billing and self-care, for Y’ello Connect SMS Hub, ensuring relevant resources, internal & external, are aware, trained and accountable of the process blocks.
    • Integrate with the Interconnect and Roaming PMO, for onboarding and migrations joint customers, developing appropriate trackers and escalating when necessary.
    • Manage upgrades of Y’ello Connect SMS Hub platform by coordinating efforts and implementation of required add-ons from Bayobab, Vendors, Group Technology and Opcos vendors to stay relevant on SMS strategy, including supporting and driving the required procurement processes.
    • Coordinate Y’ello Connect SMS Hub platform activities between technology, commercial, legal, regulatory and Bayobab Opco contacts.
    • Ensure technical and commercial working alignment between the international and domestic messaging environment.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships across Bayobab ecosystem for stakeholder alignment.
    • Manage and coordinate future VAS projects.
    • Align stakeholders for an interlocked VAS delivery plan.

    Role Deliverables

    • Project manage International SMS strategic deliverables.
    • Manage operating model, governance and communication between Bayobab, Opcos, 3rd parties and socialization of initiatives & achievements
    • Support the VAS commercial activities.

    Job Requirements:

    Education:

    • Minimum 3-year Academic Degree (BBA, Engineering /Computer Science)
    • Project Management credentials, (PMP, Prince2 certification) mandatory

    Experience:

    • 6+ years relevant experience in telecommunication industry, preferably in implementing & coordinating commercial & technology projects Solid project and programme management experience in large organisations

    Responsibilities

    The Manager: External Communications will be accountable for achieving the following objectives:

    • Implement communication strategies under the guidance of the Senior Manager to enhance MTN Group’s reputation and stakeholder engagement.
    • Work closely with group functions such as Investor Relations, Marketing, Finance, Stakeholder Relations, and Sustainability, as well as platform businesses, to design and roll out at least five comprehensive strategic external communication campaigns on crucial topics such as Digital and Financial Inclusion, stakeholder, and sustainability initiatives.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive external communication strategies that align with MTN’s Ambition 2025 strategy. Innovate in narrative construction, messaging, and audience engagement to effectively communicate globally across diverse markets.
