PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• To ensure continuous vehicles availability through effective maintenance and service. To maintain vehicles and handling of breakdowns at all sites locally and in neighbouring countries. Do monthly site inspections and maintenance on pumps, valves and silos.

FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS

• Fault-finding on electrical and Hydraulic systems.
• Handle mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
• Hydraulic fault-finding and maintenance.
• Preventative maintenance.
• Daily liaison with maintenance personnel regarding equipment & spares at mines.
• Assist in technical investigations.
• Identification of defects and reporting to supervisor.
• Manage safety issues.
• Order spares required from the stores for maintenance.
• Ensure that all safety aspects are adhered to at workplace.
• Maintenance of explosive plants and trucks in SA and abroad.
• Ensure good Housekeeping.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12 with Math’s and Science.
• Qualified Red Seal Millwright / Electro-mechanic.
• Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license (Min code 10), wish code 11 or code EB.
• Red Ticket.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as an electro mechanic (Millwright).

Requirements

• Grade 12 / N3 with Math and Science.
• Accredited Trade Test certificate in Diesel Mechanic.
• Code 11/14 driver’s license.
• Experience in the mining environment (Advantageous).
• Medically fit.
• Sound mechanical knowledge.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.
