    Senior Financial Analyst

    What you will do:

    Planning and Forecasting

    • Assist with the LBE/Plan process by collating all guidelines from area and division.
    • Coordinate the information collection process from various departments.
    • Maintain the calendarized P&L, performance, and exchange variance model per country.
    • Maintain the departmental and promotional expense planning models per country.
    • Maintain the standard cost calculation model and relevant analysis of duty, freight, and clearance costs.
    • Electronic upload of the LBE/Plan information.
    • Assist in planning and forecasting.
    • Prepare monthly closing reports.
    • Support margin improvement initiatives.
    • Prepare and report capital expenditure budgets.
    • Coordinate with commercial teams for analytics support.
    • Maintain expense tracking and ensure compliance.
    • Review cost center transactions.
    • Coordinate with finance and commercial functions for accruals and provisions.
    • Ensure compliance with financial policies.
    • Lead budgeting, planning, analysis, and reporting for the Africa Region.
    • Supervise financial close processes.
    • Meet financial reporting requirements.
    • Ensure audit readiness.
    • Participate in strategic business deals and alliances.
    • Manage P&L and balance sheet transactions.
    • Conduct regular balance sheet reviews.
    • Set and follow up on credit terms and relationships with distributors.

    Business Partnering

    • Prepare detailed expense variance analysis reports for EPD cost center owners.
    • Actively partner with cost center owners to monitor expenses and formulate action plans to ensure adherence to plan and LBE targets.
    • Support the business with ad-hoc analysis as required.

    General

    • Assist with internal and external audit queries.
    • Perform ad-hoc analyses and reports as required by the business.

    Qualifications

    • Required:Completed BCom Accounting degree with 5+ years of Senior Financial Analyst experience.
    • Candidate who is a registered CA or Eligible to register as a CA is essential
    • CIMA is advantageous and may be considered.
    • Preferred: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, leadership abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to influence and motivate others.

    Experience 

    • At least 3-5 years of within an FP &A role is essential.
    • Completed articles (preferred)
    • Familiarity with IFRS to ensure proper recording of transactions
    • Costing experience
    • FMCG, Multi-national and multi-market experience beneficial

    Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (Nutrition) - Pretoria East

    What You’ll Do

    • Build and maintain relationships with key pediatricians in the territory.
    • Design and implement strategies to achieve sales goals and targets.
    • Drive market share, volume growth, and sales targets by engaging with healthcare professionals and institutions.
    • Maintain a high customer call rate.
    • Call on retail nurses and pharmacists.

    • Experience working in the Pretoria region and Johannesburg EAST RAND will be considered as well
    • Strong knowledge of the Pretoria East area.
    • Previous experience in nutrition is a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills and self-motivation.
    • Strong business planning acumen.

    Field Service Engineer- KZN

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Installation and implementation of new systems in current and new customers sites.
    • Performing preventative maintenance interventions (Hardware and Software upgrades and repair interventions on molecular instrumentation)
    • Troubleshoot Application and Instrumentation by telephone and on site, complaint logging and tracking in Call Management Systems.
    • Providing on-site customer support for software and hardware upgrade training.
    • Close cooperation with Application Support Specialists and the Commercial team to provide excellent customer service and support business growth.
    • Actively participating in Abbott Molecular conference calls, service summits, expert meetings and workshops.
    • Providing primary service and support to the defined territory.
    • Providing back-up service support outside of assigned territory as needed.
    • Maintaining and managing own tools and accessories needed to perform repairs and preventative maintenance. Including timely validations of tools according to defined procedures.
    • Maintaining and managing own Spare Parts Field Service inventory kits according to defined procedures.
    • Reporting to Service Management, including spare part usage report.
    • Represent Abbott in a professional manner.
    • Inform Service Management about prep happened in use of Abbott products.
    • Ensure meeting service financial goals including revenue and margin
    • Responsible for increasing service revenue
    • Develop and implement value creation strategies including comprehensive service sales in territory

    Education:

    •  A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related

    Experience:

    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience is required
    • Must Be based in KZN
    • Preferably experience within the medical or diagnostics industry, having worked in the field as well.
    • Profound knowledge of managing budgets as well as service relevant processes, e.g. spare parts, material flow logistics and complaint handling
    • Excellent communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Ability to effectively solve customers’ technical problems by phone, email, webinar and in person at a client site. 
    • Outstanding customer care skills. A strong desire to work with customers to understand their needs and recommend Abbott solutions that accomplish their scientific goals.
    • Fluency in English language is a requirement, including the ability to write reports, technical documents and analytical problem descriptions.
    • Other language skills will be a distinct advantage.
    • Must have a valid driver's license

    Service Team Lead

    What You'll do:

    • Manage Stakeholders including key customers.
    • Manage and coordinate Technical Service Team in close liaison with District Customer Experience Managers.
    • Set and achieve Key Performance Indicator, and customer satisfaction NPS scores.
    • Actively participate in customer business reviews by providing reporting of service KPIs.
    • Monitor instrument reliability and instrument service cost and manage all escalated service situations to assure timeous resolution.
    • Achieve Field Service Expense Plan.
    • Manage and control spare parts inventory to assure service levels are maintained and DOH and inventory levels are controlled to Plan or IBP.
    • Hire, train, coach, develop, motivate and retain Technical Service Specialists.
    • Implement area goals and incentive plans and perform PEx process for Technical Service Team.
    • Assure service compliance with all local and division quality and procedural and process requirements.
    • Implement area service strategy to assure standardization and consistency of outstanding service delivery.
    • Success in this role is measured by service level achievement, customer satisfaction score (NPS), service key performance indicators achievement and economic growth and profitability per district.

    Required qualifications & background:

    • University degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelors / Engineering degree in medical / electrical / mechanical or medical technology is preferred.
    • Ideally from IVD or Medical Devices however candidates from Customer-facing FIELD SERVICE backgrounds will be considered
    • Solid experience in customer service or technical support, or a proven track record in a similar position, supported by management and customer references.
    • Successful engagement with customers, specifically C-Level (including CEO, CFO, COO) and Top Management.
    • People management - experience in people management with proven track - minimum 5 years of managerial experience desired.
    • Ability to travel on a daily basis (up to 80% of time).
    • Driving license B.
    • Fluency in English
