Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering (or other engineering qualification) - Essential
• Excel Intermediate tadvanced is required.
• All of the Miccrosoft office applications experience is advantageous
• Key user of Warehouse Management Systems preferably JDA Dispatcher (Red Prairie, Blue Yonder)

Job Related Requirements

• Warehouse & Operational Management experience: > 3 years with demonstrated knowledge of best practices & legal compliance;
• 3+ Years’ experience in WMS implementations in various industries
• Experience with RedPrairie WMS is a definite bonus.
• 2+ years in system integration projects
• 2 + Years System Experience in the following:-
  • Warehouse process analysis
  • Warehouse process optimization
  • Process gap analysis
  • Functional specification documentation
  • WMS modification design
  • Interface mapping
  • Data setup

Main purpose of the role

• Responsible for designing, planning and implementing warehousing and production logistics solutions, whilst managing stakeholder (internal & external) expectations throughout the solution design and implementation phase.
• This role directly supports company objectives and contributes tidentifying, analyzing & developing value-adding and robust solutions for current & prospective customers.
• Supporting current implementations of WMS and performing the interactive role between operations, the customer and the WMS supplier/ vendor.
• It is vital for the success of this position for the candidate teffectively align customer needs and solutions, with DSV values, policies and Solutions strategy tdirectly support sustainable and profitable business.
• Successful collaboration with Operations team & other internal stakeholders is critical

Duties and Responsibilities

• Tmanage, lead and mentor a team of Application engineers throughout the WMS implementation process including the following activities:
  • Assessments of current WMS solutions.
  • Liaison with various global IT teams including EDI. IT Solutions and support, Global BCM application engineering
  • Perform warehouse process analysis
  • Work with BCM Engineers timplement warehouse process optimization
  • Conduct process gap analysis
  • Developing and writing functional specification documentation
  • WMS modification design
  • Interface mapping
  • Data setup
  • Data build and data loading
  • System setup
  • System and modification testing
  • Interface testing
  • Training documentation

• Implementation s: I mplement and/or support initiatives monitor tangible and intangible benefits of changes
• Risk Management: Apply sound risk management principles tall aspects of projects & engineering activiti es to ensure all risk factors are avoided, mitigated and/or managed in the best inte res ts of DSV business, clients and staff . Ob jective of this is alstreduce the time and cost of change / implementations;
• Client Relati onship Management: Tdevelop and maintain sound client relationships based on competence, respect and trust, and tl eve rage this in support of 1) st rategic posi tioning of the client with ther business units and 2) account retention and organic growth;
• Support Support current instances of WMS implementations
• Financial: Budget management on projects
• Group Facilitation LLeading & influencing a diverse group through planning and/or problem solving activities as required, including Advance Quality Planning (AQP) process;
• Warehouse Managem ent Systems: Knowledge of key functions and features of systems used by DSV, in support of s olutions development, sales activities a nd i mplementations;
• Travel: Reasonable local and international travel requirement tuse k nowledge, skills and experience in supportof relevant DSV business objectives.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

• Offer technical assistance to the warehouse operation on the Delta II, Flexgen, JD Edwards and SSI applications
• Manage CIP initiatives in the operation
• To contribute to the value of DSV Healthcare’s mission statement and strategy.

TERTIARY QUALIFICATIONS: 

• 4 year degree or equivalent qualification in logistics or supply chain management or industrial engineering
