    Information Technology Risk Assurance Copywriter

    JOB PURPOSE
    We are looking for a highly motivated content editor and designer to join our team. The ideal candidate is a writer (and editor) at heart. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting senior management with report writing and communication.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Edit and proofread work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs.
    • Drive PwC brand consistency across all communications.
    • See projects deliverables through the whole creative lifespan, from inception to deployment.
    • Be the primary proofreader and copy editor for all content, ensuring content is in line with brand style guides and 100% error-free.
    • Input changes requested by the team or client, checking for consistency, accuracy and continuity.
    • Take briefs and create briefs for content.
    • Train senior staff members in writing and designing reports in line with the PwC Brand Language.
    • Liaise with the marketing team where necessary.
    • Ability to assist with the creative design process and layout of documents.
    • Advise teams on report enhancements, examples and templates.

    KEY KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

    • Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Communication Studies and Language
    • 2-3 years
    • Strong command of English - written and verbal.
    • Team player and effective collaborator.
    • Is able to take initiative as well as self-edit.
    • Proven experience as a Copywriter with at least 2-3 years experience.
    • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to brainstorm ideas with the team in order to create content for clients.
    • Ability to drive the report writing process with the team.
    • Organizational skill and multitasking ability.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Slides, Google Docs and Google Sheets.
    • Creativity and collaborative spirit.

    Who we are looking for

    Our Financial Services Risk and Regulation team is continuing to grow. We are looking for candidates at the experienced manager/senior manager level who have gained 5+ years’ experience consulting to the financial services sector on risk management or equivalent experience in the risk management functions of financial services institutions.

    Job Description

    Play a leading role in the development and delivery of risk management and regulatory change related client propositions and engagements. This is expected to entail:

    • Proposition development: Enhance existing and develop new risk management and regulatory change related propositions aligned to our current and emerging client needs (typically aimed at bank CROs, risk type heads (credit, market, operational etc.), treasurers). This will entail identifying and understanding current and emerging risk related client issues and regulatory expectations, working with and coordinating the efforts of staff from varying competencies (Risk- quantitative and qualitative, technology, data etc.) and drawing on specialists from across the global PwC network, to develop compelling solutions to these issues.
    • Play a leading role on the delivery of engagements and support sales efforts: This will entail applying your specialist risk management skills and leading other staff across a range of competencies to deliver on engagements and solve client challenges. Selling activities will be in a supporting role to associate directors and partners and closely supported by industry and account leaders. This will involve close collaboration with staff across PwC’s other competencies.
    • Building and leading teams:Our ambition is to build the capacity and capability of our risk and regulatory competency which will entail that the candidate helps drive initiatives such as attracting and retaining highly talented risk professionals and training and mentoring team members

    Qualifications

    • Postgraduate degree in one of the following (or closely related disciplines):
    • Risk Management
    • Finance
    • Economics
    • Management/Business Studies
    • Relevant professional qualifications such as CA, CFA and/or FRM would be an advantage.

    Competencies
    The successful individual will have a strong knowledge of Banking and/or Insurance products, processes, risks and control environments including a specialism in one or more of the following risk types:

    • Credit Risk
    • Operational Risk
    • Market Risk
    • Treasury Risks (Liquidity, Funding, Capital etc.)
    • Insurance Risk
    • Climate Risk
    • Enterprise Risk Management
    • Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams.
    • Experience in delivering on significant projects ideally including systems and infrastructure technology implementation considerations.
    • Experience in regulatory matters including contributing to the preparation of regulatory returns e.g. ICAAP (capital adequacy), RRP (recovery and resolution plans).
    • Experience in designing and implementing 'best in class' Risk Frameworks and developing risk measurement methodologies (including stress testing).
    • An ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex concepts and regulatory requirements effectively to varying audiences.
    • Agility to flex to different roles and support clients with varying requirements.
    • Strong business and commercial acumen.
