    Future Talent Electrical Engineer

    What you will do

    • Supporting the Market companies with developing electrical strategies and executing electrical projects.
    • Providing necessary technical support for the Africa cluster and service to our customers.
    • Reviewing electrical drawings, P&ID documents & process descriptions.
    • Providing support with pre projects costing, customer meetings, site evaluation, creation of scope documents.
    • Understanding the Tetra Pak Plant Master internal methodology and providing cost estimates for electrical costing.
    • Understanding the S88 and S95 standards.
    • Creating of BOM for electrical solutions.
    • Coordinating for electrical and automation items on SAP.
    • Developing and commissioning of plant electrical systems (hardware) as part of an overall production solution combined by process and automation.
    • Technical support, commissioning and troubleshooting activities – remote and/or at site (Africa region).
    • Creating hardware design documents, prepare and perform FAT tests with end customers.
    • Manage tracking and delivery of equipment.
    • Manage electrical installation teams.

    We believe you have

    • BSC or BTech Degree in Electrical Engineering, light current, Process instrumentation. (Or sufficient installation experience)
    • Equivalent ND in Electrical Engineering, light current, Process instrumentation. (Or sufficient installation experience)
    • 1-2 years proven ability in industrial electrical installation experience would be prefered.
    • Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
    • English language proficiency.
    • Willingness to travel 40% of your working time.

    Tetra Pak South Africa is looking for young, talented & ambitious for a Future Talent- Process Engineer in Johannesburg, to fill rewarding and challenging roles, that allow freedom with accountability while working directly with our PSE team.

    The successful candidates will report to the Manager: Project Management based in Cape Town.

    Our Future Talent Programme - Technical Track is an 18 months programme that will develop your engineering/technical skills and bring you leading technical knowledge in an accelerated way.
     
    From day one, you’ll be delivering results as part of the team and hold an actual position. Your manager will plan the content of your programme and support you in your development journey. You will work in various parts of Tetra Pak and gain experience from a network of Colleagues all over the world. And that is just the beginning of your Tetra Pak career. After the programme finishes you will have gained valuable experience to help you continue your exciting career within our company.

    What you will do

    • Do site management for new or existing projects
    • Do daily reports for site activities
    • Lead as a safety officer
    • Develop basic technical solutions for whole or part engineering projects.
    • Develop project documentation.
    • Technical discussions with customer and or end suppliers for whole or part engineering projects.
    • Participate in validation / reviewing technical solutions for whole or part engineering projects.
    • Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak.

    We believe you have

    Head of Communications

    Job Summary

    We are looking for a dynamic Head of Communications with a passion for learning and a drive for results. In this role, you will work across a variety of channels. You will be part of the sustainability and communications team and work within the communications function. You will also head all communications efforts in Southern Africa and represent communications function with all internal and external stakeholders.

    What you will do

    • Planning and implementing relevant communications initiatives. 
    • Driving communications activities in 2 practice areas: 
    • Internal communications: Including message development & channel management as part of the local and regional communications framework, internal messaging and content for internal events and other employee engagement projects as well as quarterly business update videos. 
    • External communications: Including social and digital media, media relations, event planning and execution, supporting with presentation and speeches, crisis communications, PR agency coordination, reputation management, product communications, and campaign management and implementation.

    We believe you have

    • Minimum a bachelor’s degree in communications, Business, Marketing, or proven experience in communications 
    • Fluent English speaker. 
    • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant communication experience with knowledge of communications framework, tools, and processes 
    • Internal and External Communications experience 
    • Building, developing and executing a communication strategy experience a must.
    • Some experience in Public Affairs planning would be a plus. 
    • Thorough experience in working with external agencies on communications planning and execution. 
    • Experience in localization of centrally developed campaigns to address local needs would be a plus.

    Service Engineer

    What you will do

    • Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak at all times, ensuring and promoting good working relationships with customers, ensuring that Tetra Pak’s reputation is sustained.
    • Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak and Customer food safety regulations and requirements, and escalate any discovered food safety, quality assurance or regulatory issues.
    • Provide installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting services on Tetra Pak Equipment in line with global Tetra Pak standards and OHS procedures and ensure that equipment performs according to defined expectations.
    • Execute installation and commissioning of relevant rebuilding kits/upgrades according to procedures and reinstate lines into production.
    • Perform the analysis and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and automation issues, and execute the necessary repairs.
    • Promptly report and manage all discovered Technical Issues according to the process and when needed, escalate to next appropriate level in a timely manner providing a proper problem description to ensure rapid resolution.
    • Conduct systematic root cause analysis of problems to enable permanent resolution.
    • Actively seek opportunities to drive continuous improvement at our customer's production facilities, and provide timely follow up on customer requests, concerns and problems.
    • Conduct production supervision and operator training at customer sites.
    • Obtain and maintain key certifications on key components and modules.
    • Timely submittal of all travel expenses, time reporting, service reporting and e-mail correspondence.
    • Share knowledge and support the development of skills of Tetra Pak colleagues.

    We believe you have

    • You will have a relevant technical qualification with a Trade Test in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Millwright or Equivalent technical qualification and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
    • Experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting of processing machines within the Food & Beverage industry is preferred.
    • Experience in manufacturing equipment installation, controls/automation including servo systems, maintenance and/or service work an advantage.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude
    • Commitment to a health and safety culture
    • The ability to utilize WCM/TPM principles, such as Continuous Improvement and PSM methodologies.
    • Previous experience doing preventative and corrective work on Pumps, Valves, Tubular and Plate Heat Exchangers, Homogenizers, Separators and Sterilizers.
    • Experience with Powder Handling Equipment, Blending & Mixing equipment would be an added advantage.
    • Troubleshooting experience on Allen Bradley & Danfoss frequency drives, PLC equipment including Siemens S7, Rockwell RS Logix 5, 500, 5000 PLC programming software, In touch (Wonderware) would be an added advantage.
    • A fluent level of writing and speaking English.
    • A valid driver’s license.
    • Ability to handle multiple stakeholders with a customer focused mindset.
    • Ability to travel up to and about 75% of the time.
