Job Description

•   Assessing donor veins for suitability for phlebotomy
•   Performing phlebotomies on suitable donors
•   Liaison with laboratories and blood banks regarding product requirements and haematology/virology results
•   Labelling of packs and donor documentation
•   Setting up of apheresis machines prior to donation
•   Transporting samples and products to laboratories and processing departments
•   Telephonic recruitment of donors
•   Donor hosting responsibilities including greeting donors, performing Hemocue® measurements, assisting with queries, providing refreshments and booking Uber trips
•   Administrative support including Lean documentation and data collection
•   Maintenance of machines and other equipment
•   Ordering stock

•   Good interpersonal skills
•   Have a friendly disposition and willingness to “go the extra mile”
•   Punctuality is essential as the clinic operates strictly from 07h00—15h00
•   Attention to detail is paramount as product safety is the priority
•   Accuracy in data collection and strong data analysis skills
•   Must be able to work as part of a team, self-Motivated, hardworking, flexible and conscientious
•   Skilled in customer services and the ability to deal with the public

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Matric Certificate
• Medical/Phlebotomy Technician Qualification in Blood Transfusion
• Registered with HPCSA;
• Computer literate
• Strong Excel skills
• An unendorsed code 08 driver’s license
• Reliable transport

Purpose of the Job

• Perform administrative duties and data analysis
• Responsible for bookings of the Training venues
• Responsible for document processing
• Ensures compliance with the LEAN program & Quality Management System

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Unendorsed Code EB (08) driver’s licence
• A valid PDP would be an advantage
• Very proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel
• Proficiency in SAGE Evolution, People and M Files would be an advantage
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Data capturing
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team

Main Purpose:

• Processing of incoming blood into the various products; and performing general duties to ensure the smooth flow of work

• The working hours are variable and shift work is required

Main Purpose:

Collection, delivery and transfers of scheduled and emergency blood and stock to and from Hospitals, Blood Banks, Mobile Clinics and Blood Donation Centres.

Requirements

• A code 8 (B), driver's licence with PDP and without endorsements
• A Matric certificate
• 3 years previous commercial driving experience

• Have a friendly disposition and show a keen interest in the work. A willingness to work as part of a team is essential,
• Working hours are vary,
• Must be able to work shift and weekend work and Public holidays.
