    Category Specialist Commercial Sourcing

    Job Description
    Key Performance Output

    The successful candidate will be reporting to the Group Manager Commercial Sourcing and Asset Disposal and will be responsible but not limited to the following:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of functional plans and category goals.
    • Conduct an analysis of ACSA’s spend, historical data and external market across a portfolio of commodities to baseline, determine trends and identify sourcing opportunities
    • Conduct analysis to support benefits estimation and documentation.
    • Actively uses and combines different sourcing strategies according to a prepared negotiation plan.
    • Manage competitive bids/quotations, taking into account best available service mix and appropriate technical considerations for various situations.
    • Build and maintain constructive relationships with suppliers and service providers.
    • Hand over suppliers who have a poor performance record to supplier development process.
    • Negotiate supplier contracts in terms of materials/service quality and prices, delivery specifications, contract lifespan, contract ceilings, contract terms and conditions, etc.
    • Ensure contract compliance and manage contract lifecycle.
    • Track and report on procurement against executed contracts.
    • Contribute to the development of a cross-category database and data analytics capability.
    • Ensure adherence to approved legislation and transformation imperatives.
    • Identify and quantify all major costs associated with sourcing activities.
    • Assist with the development of new processes, procedures and solutions for the purchasing system and identify any category specific requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and applicable prescripts.
    • Ensure strict confidentiality is maintained for suppliers and ACSA.

    Technical Skills and Experience

    The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree NQF 7 (3 years – 360 credits) in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Business Management, Finance is essential. 
    • Bachelor Honours Degree NQF 8 in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Business Management, Finance is advantageous
    • 6–8 years' relevant operational experience in strategic commercial sourcing, strategic purchasing, operations procurement, logistics, or a contracts management organisation is essential.
    • MS Office at intermediate level.

    Category Specialist Asset Disposal

    Job Description
    Key Performance Output

    The successful candidate will be reporting to the Group Manager Commercial Sourcing and Asset Disposals and will be responsible for the following:

    • Conduct an analysis of ACSA’s spend, historical data and external market across a portfolio of commodities to baseline, determine trends and identify sourcing opportunities.
    • Use analytic techniques to further support complex sourcing and supply chain projects.
    • Assess category demand plans to determine business requirements and assist in the development of commodity and category sourcing strategies.
    • Identify high impact cost reduction opportunities.
    • Actively uses and combines different sourcing strategies according to a prepared negotiation plan.
    • Build and maintain constructive relationships with suppliers and service providers.
    • Address variances and opportunities for continuous improvement with supplier relationships and implement remedial actions where required.
    • Monitor and report on financial compliance/performance of the contract and takes appropriate corrective action when necessary to maintain exceptional service.
    • Ensure delivery form suppliers complies with contract conditions, as well as with ACSA policies, principles, guidelines and standards.
    • Implement contract strategies and category specific requirements for supplier contracts
    • Negotiate supplier contracts in terms of materials/service quality and prices, delivery specifications, contract lifespan, contract ceilings, contract terms and conditions, etc.
    • Contribute to the development of a cross-category database and data analytics capability.
    • Implement BBBEE strategies to ensure required targets are met.
    • Assist with the development of new processes, procedures and solutions for the purchasing system and identify any category specific requirements.
    • Manage ACSA’s risk exposure through identification, implementation and maintenance of risk control measures to minimise the Company’s liability.

    Technical Skills and Experience

    The following skills and experience, or the equivalent of such, will be required:

    • Bachelor’s degree (3 years - 360 credits) in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Business Management, Finance (NQF 7) is essential.
    • Bachelor Honours Degree (NQF 8) in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Business Management, Finance is advantageous.
    • 6-8 years relevant operational experience in strategic sourcing, strategic purchasing, operations procurement, Logistics or contracts management organisation is essential.
    • Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply (CIPS) OR SAPICS registration is advantageous.
    • Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) is advantageous.

    Group Manager Aviation Academy

    Job Description
    Key Performance Output

    The successful candidate will be reporting to Group Executive Human Resource on a 3-year fixed term contract and will be responsible but not limited to the following:

    • Translate ACSA’s business and organisational goals into a comprehensive functional strategy.
    • Develop an integrated commercially viable Training Academy business plan to enable ACSA to grow its non-aeronautical revenue and deliver optimal returns.
    • Manage the Company’s risk exposure through identifying, implementing and maintenance of risk control measures to minimise the Company’s liability.
    • Drive and Grow Training Academy to provide best-in class aviation skills interventions/offerings in the industry
    • Manage the development and implementation of all training related frameworks, policies, procedures and systems to ensure achievement of the strategic business objectives.
    • Conduct Business needs analyses to determine training programme performance barriers such as training platform and delivery channel etc.
    • Ensure that the appropriate procurement process is followed in the identification and appointment of service providers.
    • Provision of timely and accurate reports in accordance with business and management requirements.
    • Interpret business plan and develop operational, capex and labour budgets for the function.
    • Drive the significance of Training Academy as a key player in local, national and international aviation industries as well as government forums through strategic partnerships.
    • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and ensure follow-through with formalized agreements (MOUs).
    • Implement and manage people development processes such performance management, succession planning and talent management to meet functional performance standards.

    Technical Skills and Experience

    The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) (NQF 8) in Human Resources Development/ Business Management/ BCom/Social Sciences/Arts is essential
    • Master’s Degree (NQF 9) (MBA) is advantageous
    • 4 years’ operational experience in Business Management/Development is essential
    • 4 years’ functional experience in operation is essential
    • 4 years senior management experience is essential
    • Registration with SABPP is recommended
    • Intermediate Microsoft Office 
    • Code B; Motor vehicle licence is essential
