    Regulatory and Compliance Specialist

    A Regulatory and Compliance Specialist position has become available at an international manufacturing company. This is a fast - paced but friendly environment that will suit an organized person with a great eye for detail.

    This position will contribute to the success of the company by taking the responsibility to ensure compliance with the laws and regulations associated with the sale of chemical products.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in the field of regulatory/ compliance/ risk specialization
    • BSc (Chemistry/Engineering), Diploma in Chemistry will be advantageous
    • Legal qualification or in-depth knowledge thereof would be advantageous

    Experience

    • 5 – 10 years in a chemical manufacturing plant or related process manufacturing industry.
    • At least 3 years’ experience as a regulatory compliance specialist, or similar
    • Must have a strong regulatory and compliance background.

    The incumbent will be responsible for the following inter alia:

    • Auditing - Manage/conducting internal and external compliance audits aligned to Corporate and Legal requirements and compiling reports
    • Coordinating regulatory compliance procedures across the organizational structures
    • Monitoring compliance and facilitating interventions to manage risks
    • Developing and enacting regulatory compliance strategies
    • Providing training in compliance practices and procedures
    • Document control related to compliance and maintaining records
    • Incident Management/Non- Conformances related to regulatory compliance
    • Achieve and maintain compliance with all Legal and other requirements (Public, Customers and Corporate) Requirements
    • Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and developments in the regulatory environment
    • Expense Control - accurately handling the day-to-day expenses related to the portfolio
    • Consultation and Communication with Stakeholders
    • Product Stewardship - Eliminating risks at customer, onsite and during design (new products and engineering)
    • Maintaining product registrations
    • Assessing product compliance to local and global legislation
    • Support compliance to and minimize our risk as per the POPIA legislative requirements, supplier/ customer/ operators
    • Implement continuous improvement and project management initiatives.
    • Managing the development and review of Safety Data Sheets

    Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required

    • Excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant corporate governance requirements and South African Regulatory Requirements in related industries
    • Extensive knowledge of product regulations pertaining to NSF, FDA, Halaal, etc.
    • Ability to communicate at all Levels of the Organization and support the company in driving regulatory compliance campaigns as well as Training.
    • Proficiency in office and compliance management software
    • Exceptional analytical, investigative, and organizational skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Advanced knowledge of Legislation
    • Good knowledge of Chemistry and Engineering.

    Regional Digital Equipment Marketer

    A Regional Digital Marketer position based in Hammarsdale has become available in the Global Digital Innovation Division. This position will be responsible for the SA region and will be based in Hammarsdale.

    Reporting to the Regional Digital Equipment Marketing Manager, based in our corporate office in the U.S., the purpose of this position is to contribute to the success of the company’s digital strategy by ensuring commercial digital success and digital project alignment/prioritization in the operating company. Offers impactful/innovative solutions and collaborates with the digital team, regional leadership, sales, and external partners on digital initiatives that create new and valuable outcomes for our customers.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • A B.S. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering / technical field plus 5 years of experience or
    • M.S. (or equivalent experience) in in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering / technical field plus 3 years of experience

    The incumbent will be responsible for the following inter alia:

    • Ensures digital project alignment and prioritization.
    • Gains feedback and champions regional ideas.
    • Responsible for the commercial success of digital products and services launched.
    • Responsible for the Product life cycle management marketing for customer facing equipment.
    • Executes regional communication plan and metrics.
    • Works with the CDO to help create the regional prioritized set of digital initiatives, commitments, and digital budget.
    • Supports and helps drive an innovative culture.
    • Collaborates effectively with the global digital team and with other departments, stakeholders, and leaders.
