    Compliance Product Senior Analyst

    Job Overview
    Serves as a compliance risk officer for Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) in South Africa based in Johannesburg responsibilities include;

    • The role is a member of the EMEA Securities Services Product ICRM team covering the Securities Services businesses primarily  Custody services. This is a regulated role.
    • Supporting the Country Compliance Officer in assuring Citi’s compliance risks are adequately identified, assessed, controlled and monitored through the effective management and implementation of the various elements of the compliance program.
    • The role will be responsible for assisting with, designing policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rules, or regulations and to design and deliver a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firm's risk appetite and protect the franchise.
    • In addition, engages with other ICRM Product and Function coverage teams, in order to collaborate, develop and apply ICRM program solutions that meet the Securities Service (“SS”) product and customer needs in a manner consistent with the Citi program framework. Primary responsibilities include monitoring compliance risk behaviors and providing day-to-day Compliance advice relating to the supported ICRM Product and Function and guidance on product & function rules/laws.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assisting in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class Compliance, programs, policies and practices for ICRM.
    • Assist with regulatory inquiries and/or examinations.
    • Acting as Strate Compliance Officer including managing Strate Communication, such as responding on fines, ad-hoc Strate requests and communication. Attendance at Strate Compliance officer forums
    • Collaborating with other internal areas including: Legal, Business Management, Operations, Technology, Finance, other Control Functions, and In-Business Risk to address compliance issues which may impact the supported ICRM Product and Function .
    • Supporting the business in performing timely compliance reviews of new transactions and/or products.
    • Assisting in the development and administration of Compliance training for the supported ICRM Product and Function.
    • Researching any rules/directives and rule/directive changes and implementing policies, procedures or other controls necessary to comply with the rules/regulations
    • Maintaining the required Continuous Professional Education points to comply with Strate requirements.
    • Attendance at and participation in various governance meetings.
    • Additional duties as assigned.          

    Qualifications:

    • Working Knowledge of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies in the supported function/business/product
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization
    • Work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional units; ability to navigate a complex organization
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
    • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Knowledge in area of focus
    • Relevant certifications desirable
    • Completed Strate Custody Exams would be preferable
    • Knowledge of Custody Services and or Securities Services

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree; experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; experience in area of focus; Advanced degree a plus

    Relationship Manager

    Job Overview

    • The Banker is a senior level professional responsible for driving the planning of investment strategies and solutions for major market clients in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The overall objective of this role is to drive revenue by cross selling the Citi platform while efficiently deploying the firm's capital and evaluating and managing risk.

    Responsibilities:

    • Partner with Senior Bankers to provide overall relationship management support
    • Assist with day to day cash management activities, trading initiatives, vendor finance, foreign exchange, loan activity, debt capital markets efforts, share repurchase and interest rate/equity derivatives
    • Support Bankers in cross-selling full spectrum of products and services by identifying customer needs to generate revenue
    • Responsible for evaluating public filings, research reports, operations, business plans, and financial forecasts to produce strategic and financial analyses
    • Responsible for staying abreast of market and industry trends, “best practices” and competitive landscape

    Qualifications:

    • 6-10 years of experience
    • Sound understanding of the Corporate Banking business and its related products, pertinent regulations affecting it and the lending and credit approval process
    • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong planning, negotiation, organizational and analytical skills
    • Experience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade,finance and securities products
    • Series 7 and 63 licenses

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
