    Social Worker - EST/03/2024

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12
    • An appropriate Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.
    • Current registration with the South African council of social services profession. Proof of current registration (2024/2025) with SACSSP as Social Worker.
    • A valid Driver's license.

    KEY PRFORMANCE AREAS

    • Render a Social worker Service with regard to the care, support protection and development of vulnerable individuals groups, families and communities through the relevant programmes.
    • Conduct psychosocial assessment aimed at identifying conditions in individuals, groups, families and communities that justify relevant interventions.
    • Assessment of files for children with Unsuppressed Viral Load, psychosocial and prepare caregivers for Disclosure.
    • Tracing children back to care, those with interrupted treatment.
    • Ongoing Support to ensure Suppression of Viral Load.
    • Adherence counselling for children to come for their appointments in order to monitoring progress and taking of bloods and close monitoring.
    • Attend the Nerve Centre meeting which addresses all HAST service delivery matters.
    • Refer appropriately to Resources and stakeholders.
    • Support, Mentor and Coach Student Social Workers. Student Social Auxiliary Workers as well as HAST Counsellors.
    • Keep up to date with new date developments in the Social Work and Social Welfare fields.
    • Determine, develop and plan programmes to render the recommended interventions efficiently, effectively and economically.
    • Perform all the administrative functions required of the job.
    • Attend and fats track lost follow patients from treatment in more than and conduct home circumstance investigation.

    Medical Specialist (Grade 1-3) Anaesthesia

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS POST:

    • Senior Certificate PLUS MBCHB degree PLUS
    • FCA (SA) OR MMed (Anaes) PLUS
    • Current or pending registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist Anaesthesiology
    • Appointment is only possible after full registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist
    • Certificate of Service (Proof of Work Experience) from previous and current employer endorsed and stamped by HR must be attached.

    EXPERIENCE:

    Medical Specialist Grade 1: R1 271 901.00 - R1 348 635.00 pa:

    • All-inclusive package consists of 70% basic salary and 30% flexible portion that may be structured in terms of the applicable rules plus Commuted Overtime which is subject to the needs of the department. Employee must sign the commuted overtime contract form annually. Rural allowance 18% of basic salary.
    • Experience: Not applicable; Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Anaesthesia

    Medical Specialist Grade 2:R1 451 214.00-R1 538 967.00 pa:

    • All-inclusive package consists of 70% basic salary and 30% flexible portion that may be structured in terms of the applicable rules plus Commuted Overtime which is subject to the needs of the department. Employee must sign the commuted overtime contract form annually. Rural allowance 18% of Basic salary.
    • Experience: 5 years appropriate experience as a Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Anaesthetics.

    Medical Specialist Grade 3:R1 680 780.00 R2 097 327.00 pa:

    • All-inclusive package consists of 70% basic salary and 30% flexible portion that may be structured in terms of the applicable rules plus Commuted Overtime which is subject to the needs of the department. Employee must sign the commuted overtime contract form annually. Rural allowance 18% of Basic salary
    • Experience: 10 years appropriate experience as a Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Anaesthetics

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KRAs):

    • To execute duties and functions with proficiency in order to support the aims and objectives of the institution that are consistent with standards of patient care.
    • To perform duties/functions that falls within the reasonable prescripts of acceptable legislation.
    • Accept responsibility for administration of anaesthesia
    • Willingness to participate in the after-hours call system, with an undertaking to sign a contract to participate in 16 hours commuted overtime per week, is essential.
    • Overtime work will encompass both Critical Care and anaesthesia call cover
    • Supervision of internship training
    • Participate in post graduate and other relevant academic/ and training programmes.
    • Assess patients, plan, initiate and supervise medical care management
    • Provide support by ensuring that efficient standards of patient care and service delivery are maintained
    • Ensure the proper and economical use of equipment and other resources

    Lecturer: PND1-PND2

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

    • Senior Certificate/Grade 12
    • A Degree/ Diploma in Nursing: (General, Psychiatric and Community) and Midwifery

    PLUS

    • A Diploma/Degree in Nursing Education registered with SANC
    • Current Registration (2024) with SANC
    • A minimum of 4 (four) years appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after
    • registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing (in the case of Grade 1-PND1)

    OR

    • A minimum of fourteen (14) years appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after registration as Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing of which ten (10) years of the period referred to above must be in Clinical Nursing and / or Nursing Education after obtaining the 1 year post qualification (in the case of Grade 2 – PND2).
    • Unendorsed valid RSA Drivers license (EB/C1)
    • Basic computer course
    • Verification for relevant experience – as per HRM Circular 94/2008

    RECOMMENDATIONS:

    • Experience in Clinical Nursing Practice.
    • Recommendation: Masters’ Degree in Nursing,
    • Basic computer course.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    • Responsible to coordinate, implement and monitor an effective and efficient Clinical training system
    • Provide effective and efficient clinical teaching of nurse learners.
    • Develop/design, review and evaluate clinical evaluation tools
    • Co-ordinate clinical learning exposure of nurse learner between the Campus and clinical area.
    • Support the mission and promote image of the College/Campus
    • Implement assessment strategies to determine nurse learners’ competencies
    • Exercise control over nurse learners.
    • Implement the quality management system for the Nursing Education Institution

    Head of Department General/Student Support

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

    • Senior Certificate/Grade 12
    • A Degree/ Diploma in Nursing: (General, Psychiatric and Community) and Midwifery

    PLUS

    • A Diploma/Degree in Nursing Education registered with SANC

    • A minimum of NINE (9) years appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC

    RECOMMENDATIONS:

    • Masters’Degree in Nursing

    • Coordinates the provision of education and training of student’s nurses.
    • Manages clinical learning exposure to students between college and clinical areas.
