    Cloud Secruity Consultant

    Our Client is a leading financial services group and has been listed on the JSE and Namibian stock exchange. Their business interests have a global reach; however, their head office is situated in the beautiful city of Cape Town.

     

    They are currently looking for a Cloud Security Consultant to join their Group Cyber Security team.

    • You will be focussing on enabling the business to utilise Cloud platforms (SaaS, PaaS and IaaS) in a responsible and secure manner, by providing guidance on security control selection and configuration for cloud platforms.
    • You will be working closely with the DevOps teams to ensure that the required security, vulnerability and configuration checks are executed in the agreed CI/CD pipelines.
    • To apply, you need to have a relevant Bachelor’s degree coupled with 3 - 8 years’ experience in information security consulting or information technology operations.
    • You need to have 3-5 years’ experience in evaluating security controls relative to information security frameworks such as ISO 27002, CI Security or ISF SOGP.

    Certification requirements include:

    • AWS Certified Security Speciality, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solution Architect;
    • CISM or CISSP or CCSP will be a plus; and,
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate will be a plus.
    • You will have to rely on your experience and working knowledge of key cloud security standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO, CSA STAR) as well as applicable regulatory requirements including POPIA and GDPR to succeed in this role.
    • You also need to have experience and working knowledge of good industry practices in tiered security architecture design. Demonstrated understanding of information security concepts including encryption, access controls, network security, security operations, security architect, threat modeling and design.
    • And lastly, you need a strong understanding of DevOps principles and security controls.

    L3 Network Engineer

    Our client who is an industry giants, a global leader in technology recognised for investing in their people is looking for a  L3 Network Engineer

    Work experience required

    Monitor infrastructure

    • They ensure that assigned infrastructure at the internal client or business unit location is configured, installed, tested and operational. In this regard they will perform necessary checks, apply monitoring tools and respond to alerts. 
    • Where software is a component of the solution they will also take responsibility for ensuring that the software is installed and configured according to internal client or business unit requirements.


    Identify problems and errors

    • The Network Engineer L3 identifies problems and errors prior to or when they occur. He or she will log such incidents in a timely manner with the required level of detail with all the necessary. T
    • They liaise with all stakeholders including internal client IT environments, vendors, carriers and internal Data colleagues to expedite diagnosis of errors and problems and to identify a resolution.


    Ensure resolution of incidents and requests

    • They investigate second line support calls assigned to then and identify the root cause of incidents and problems. 
    • They ensure the efficient and comprehensive resolution of incidents and requests. This could involve ensuring that repairs are carried out by coordinating product requests and liaising with other team members. 
    • They will also report and escalate issues to 3rd party vendors if necessary. They take full ownership for managing the incident to resolution within the service level conditions.
    • Where necessary, they escalate requests and exceptions to the 3rd line support team.


    Ensure continuous feedback

    • They provide continuous feedback to internal client or business unit leaders and affected parties and update all systems and/or portals as prescribed by internal procedures.


    Incident management

    • When required they will take responsibility receiving calls and incidents at the services desk. They assist in analysing, assigning and escalating the support calls. 
    • They also provide telephonic support to internal clients or business units where required.
    • They update incidents with progress and resolution details.


    Shift management

    • Network Engineers L3 that work shifts will be required to follow the required handover procedures for shift changes to ensure service continuity. 
    • They complete and maintain any shift handover schedules.


    Reports

    • Network Engineers L3 are also responsible for producing breach and other reports that are necessary for the correct operation of processes.
    •  They identify failures and short-comings in the current processes and escalate with recommendations.


    Education needed:

    • CCNA R/S and/or DC (required)
    • CCNP R/S and/or DC (required)
    • CCIE (Desired)
    • ITIL v3 Foundation (Desired)
    • SDWAN certified (Desired)
    • 5 years mid to senior level networking experience

    Microsoft Support Engineer L2

    Our client who is an industry giants, a global leader in technology recognised for investing in their people is looking for a   L2 Microsoft Support Engineer

    • The role is responsible for providing a professional third-line onsite technical support and field engineering service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems.
    • Through preemptive service incident and resolution activities, this role will restore service to clients by managing incidents and seeing them through to an effective resolution.
    • Their primary objective is to ensure all requests, process events and resolution incidents result in zero missed SLA conditions.
    • The role is responsible for managing incidents of high complexity, conducts advanced and complicated tasks, and provides resolution to a diverse range of complex problems.
    • This position uses considerable judgement and independent analysis within defined policies and practices.
    • This role is responsible for Stakeholder engagement with both internal and external .  You will handle escalations as well as complex issues with clients.

    Technical Specialism:

    • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of specific specialisms, and provides expert advice regarding their application.

    Desired Programming/Scripting Skills:

    • Python, PHP, XML, REST API Programming/Scripting (or similar programming/scripting languages)

    Certifications and knowledge required

    • AD – Strong Infrastructure skills (Including ADFS and ADCS) – Strong Skills
    • Exchange/O365 – Strong skills
    • Hyper-V/VMM– Strong Skills
    • Storage/Physical Servers – Medium Skills
    • IIS/Basic Website Support – Medium Skills
    • SQL/Database Skills – Medium Skills
    • Backup/Restore/DR (Avamar, Veeam) – Medium Skills
    • Monitoring Services (SCOM/Solarwinds/OMS/AppCentrix etc) – Medium Skills
    • Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS – Basic-Medium Skills
    • PowerShell scripting – Medium to Strong skills
    • Understanding of security/firewalls – Basic skills
    • Linux/Centos – Basic skills
    • Any of the above certifications is a plus. The Engineer (L2) is expected to gain certifications relevant to services supported. Certifications carry additional weight on candidate’s qualification for the role.

    Work experience required

    •  4-6 years’ work experience
    • 5+ years’ experience required in Engineering function within a medium to large ICT organisation.
    • Experience of Managed Services
    • Strong general troubleshooting skills
    • Working knowledge of ITIL Processes
    • Solid work ethic, ability to deal with conflict, Client centric and Solid documentation skills
    • Experience working with vendors and/or 3rd parties
    • Standby/overtime will be required
