    Senior Platform Engineer

    About the Role

    • We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with a specialization in Kubernetes to focus on building, securing, and managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters on bare-metal infrastructure.
    • This role is essential to ensure the effective deployment and maintenance of cloud-native applications while leveraging your expertise across the development lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and security on bare-metal systems.
    • Bootstrap virtual machines and configure all Kubernetes-related tooling to meet operational requirements.
    • Manage and optimize cluster networking, storage solutions, and secrets management processes.
    • Implement and maintain RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) across multiple team environments for secure access management.
    • Develop and apply observability practices, including logging and monitoring, to maintain system health and performance.
    • Perform routine cluster BAU (Business As Usual) tasks, including upgrades, patching, and resource optimization.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in Kubernetes environments.

    Requirements

    • Demonstrable experience in building and managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters, particularly on bare-metal infrastructure.
    • Strong Linux system administration skills, with a practical understanding of networking and storage systems.
    • Proven track record in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines within Kubernetes environments.
    • Proficiency in configuring secrets management and security best practices within Kubernetes.
    • Comfortable working with observability tools for performance monitoring and incident response.
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
    • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go for automation tasks is essential.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with cloud-native technologies and container orchestration beyond Kubernetes is a plus.
    • Relevant certifications in Kubernetes (e.g., CKA, CKAD) or cloud platforms are advantageous.
    • Understanding of service mesh technologies and distributed system architectures is beneficial.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Minimum 2 years in a team lead or supervisory capacity
    • Comfortable working with Excel and basic data validation techniques
    • Practical experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred): data governance concepts, data stewardship, or metadata management
