About the Job

Purpose

• The Credit Associate will be responsible for the provision of a world class customer experience by actively facilitating the achievement of Mr Price Money’s in-store strategic objectives.
• The key focus of this role will include the demonstration of outstanding customer service, selling skills and the promotion of credit applications offered by Mr Price Money

Key responsibilities

Customer Experience:

• Provide a fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and to provide assistance
• Actively strive for quick complaint resolution and the avoidance of escalation of issues
• Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Promote and/or market credit to customers
• Efficiently drive credit applications in store
• Successfully meet and/or exceed monthly credit targets efficiently
• Achieve and/or exceed daily sales goal by cross selling and promoting additional products and service

Administration:

• Assisting customers to complete credit applications utilizing iPads
• Maintain working knowledge of store’s policies and procedures
• Maintain knowledge of current sales, sales promotions and campaign related requirements
• Efficiently perform department tasks including creating displays and processing transactions
• Assist store managers/associates to identify and resolve issues in the store
• Maintains high level of personal integrity (e.g., practices and policies, work, high levels of attendance and personal appearance, schedule, accurate timekeeping records, etc.).

 Product:

• Provide accurate product information to all customers when needed
• Enhance product knowledge utilizing resources available
• Maintain updated knowledge on all product related concepts

Requirements

Education:

• Grade12

Experience:

• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role

Knowledge/ Skills:

• Selling skills essential
• Sales experience in the retail industry
• General administrative skills
• Knowledge of merchandising and stock management
• Customer service orientation and focus

• Perform duties of an Assistant Manager by ensuring that the Store Manager is relieved, maintain company standards of housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, discipline, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Banking of money
• Relieve store manager
• Maintain company standards of housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, discipline, and security
• Ensure compliance of all company procedures
• Assist store manager in management of staff
• Ensure front end controls are in place
• Oversee the cash office

Requirements

Key responsibilities:

• Promote sales.
• Manage stock, and control expenses to meet business target.
• The main purpose of this position is to maximize the sales/turnover of the store and control stock losses.
• Manage the administration of the store and effectively manage the staff.
• Achieve and/or exceed the required targets that are set out for the store.
• Use store resources effectively to maintain the productivity of the store.
• Encompass a thorough knowledge of stock and management of policies and procedures.
• Act as the custodian of all compony policies and procedures to ensure standards are met.
• Assume accountability for the management and the training of all staff.
• Maintaining the company culture by treating staff in a respectful and professional manner.
• Ensure all interaction with customers results in an above average customer service level.
• Monitor the cleanliness and hygiene store and staff accordingly to ensure that it adheres to the relevant laws and company standards.
