    Client Service Consultant: KYC & AML

    Purpose of role:

    • The Transfer Agency Client Service team aims to provide excellent levels of client service to all investors in a timely and accurate manner. Recognising its key position as the conduit between the client and the broader Prescient Fund Services operational teams. As part of the onboarding function of the broader client service team you will be responsible for performing all duties relating to the client onboarding process for individuals and legal entities.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Client onboarding process and account creation for individuals and legal entities which includes Docfox (KYC application) and the unit registry system across all management companies where administration is performed.
    • Perform validation checks on the Client documents submitted for onboarding a new investor to ensure the necessary FICA requirements are met in accordance with the FIC and the relevant RMCP before loading investor onto the unit registry system. Ensure all client accounts are loaded and authorised in Docfox.
    • Follow-up on outstanding information/documents with the Client and deliver exceptional client service, by providing Client with regular feedback.
    • Ensure all new clients are created in the unit registry system according to the capturing standard.
    • Ensure the correct capturing of all regulatory classifications (FATCA, ASISA, SARB).
    • Ensure the correct capturing all tax classifications (DWT, IWT) and ensuring the clients tax details have been recorded appropriately.
    • Ensuring daily individual checklist have been updated by administrators and handed to Team Leader for final sign-off.
    • Work with Compliance and Internal audit to ensure adherence to the FICA RMCP.
    • Submit all High-Risk clients to Compliance and review that it is completed.
    • Review all static data change requests and perform relevant client call backs to verify the changes.
    • Implementing and maintaining process controls using workflow management. Ensuring all items have relevant comments for audit purposes and escalate any aged items. Ensure there are no aged items in individual queues.
    • Review all current clients and remediate where FICA requirements are not met.

    Required experience:

    • Relevant experience of at least 1-2 years a related role where you have dealt with all processes relating to client onboarding.
    • Sound foundational understanding and exposure to the various applicable legislation including but not limited to:
    • UT Manco environment and operations
    • FICA, DWT, FATCA

    Required Qualifications:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification preferred. Matric as a minimum.

    Key competencies:

    • Ability to work under time pressure around submission deadline times.

    Financial Accountant

    Purpose of role:

    • The Financial Accountant plays a vital role in supporting Senior Financial Accountants with monthly and annual financial reporting.
    • The role further involves adding value to front office teams, leadership, clients, and shareholders, upholding a high standard of excellence and service throughout.

    Duties and responsibilities:
    The Assistant Financial Accountant provides efficient and effective support to Prescient’s accounting operations and procurement functions. This role encompasses a wide range of financial responsibilities, including but not limited to:

    • Maintaining accurate financial accounting records
    • Preparing and analysing management accounts and reports
    • Assisting with tax compliance and reporting
    • Performing account reconciliations to ensure data integrity
    • Overseeing cash flow management and forecasting
    • Supporting procurement processes and banking operations
    • Managing debtors and creditors to uphold financial discipline
    • Ensure a smooth and effective annual audit process
    • Contributing as a valued member of the Prescient Finance team
    • Building and maintaining a trusted partnerships with the operating entity’s broader teams
    • Driving continuous improvement in controls and processes to reduce risk, enhance efficiency, and identify opportunities
    • The role requires attention to detail, sound financial judgment, and a strong commitment to collaboration and operational excellence.

    Required experience:

    • Relevant experience of 3 – 5 years in a similar finance role and industry
    • Alternatively, 1 – 3 years in a similar finance role plus 3 years of articles
    • Exposure to SARS eFiling
    • Exposure to Acumatica accounting system preferable

    Required Qualifications:

    • Relevant Tertiary Qualification – CA (SA), CIMA
