    (699) Associate Analyst - Integrity Support - GSMD

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Collect data from multiple sources and sift through and evaluate information.
    • Organise, collate and analyse information and data from multiple databases and information feeds.
    • Determine research needs based on business partner priorities and strategy.
    • Proactively communicate insight summaries to business partners, including the Information Analysis Centre analysts and manager.
    • Synthesise multiple sources of data and information into a single topical summary.
    • Derive insights that respond to client needs and key business questions. 
    • Develop topics based on own observations from across various data sources, including, but not limited to, consultant input, ad hoc insights and requests from internal business partners.
    • Communicate synthesis reports to target audiences, as required, and produce useful management reports in the form of alerts and briefs.
    • Proactively broaden knowledge of functional area (including methods and practices).

    Qualifications

    Job requirements

    To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

    • a Bachelor’s degree (NQF7) in Commerce, Business Management, Criminology, Security Risk Management, International Relations, Politics or an equivalent qualification;
    • specialist training in intelligence analysis and/or completed risk analysis;
    • knowledge of academic-level research methodology; and
    • two to three years’ experience in a law enforcement, intelligence, research, security, human resources or finance environment.

    The following would be an added advantage:

    • experience in business data and information collection and analysis with a strong liaison and coordination capability.

    (694) Tester - BSTD

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Conduct functional, integration, usability, configuration, installation, system, regression and user acceptance testing.
    • Assist with the analysis of business requirements and gap analysis to ensure that comprehensive testing can be performed. 
    • Compile and execute test cases and scenarios (including test estimation) to ensure a structured approach during testing.
    • Perform defect management to ensure high-quality solutions.
    • Produce and communicate the progress for all testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging and tracking.
    • Produce quality reports (encapsulating test results and statistics) to support the final approval for implementation of the solution.
    • Collaborate with analysts, designers, developers and system owners in the testing of new requirements.

    • a National Diploma (NQF 6) in Information Technology (IT) or an equivalent qualification;
    • two to five years’ experience within an IT environment, specifically in the area of testing.

    • Develop, enhance and implement economic models for macroeconomic forecasting and policy simulations in line with best practice, which includes using AI methods such as machine learning, natural language processing and big data processing that includes automation to improve efficiencies.
    • Present the results of economic modelling and forecasting exercises and policy simulations and/or complex economic phenomena affecting monetary policy.
    • Conduct econometric analyses using large and complex datasets to support economic policy decisions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development of data-driven insights and predictive models.
    • Keep abreast of current developments in AI, data science and econometric techniques, applying them to central bank policies and initiatives.

    Qualifications

    (690) Swift Administrator - BSTD

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Respond to unplanned system outages by investigating, troubleshooting and remediating any incidents.
    • Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships with vendors to ensure the efficient running and maintenance of the payment systems (i.e. SWIFT Alliance suite, SWIFTNet Network and SWIFTNet WebAccess infrastructures as well as the SWIFT Hardware Security Model (HSM)).
    • Securely install and administer the payment systems to enhance the resilience, redundancy and continuity thereof.
    • Be responsible for delivering work that meets the time and quality standards set by more senior staff members.
    • Provide second-level support to end users in all departments (e.g. National Payment System Department, Financial Services Department and Financial Markets Department), including proactive preventative maintenance and upgrade of the payment systems.
