    Project Manager

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES, OUTPUTS AND EXPECTATIONS:

    • Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and manage all phases of the project lifecycle using appropriate project management methodologies (such as Agile or Waterfall).
    • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Collaborate with business leaders and project stakeholders to understand requirements, manage expectations, and ensure transparent communication regarding project status, risks, and issues.
    • Risk Management and Problem Solving: Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
    • Resource and Budget Management: Allocate resources efficiently, manage project budgets, and ensure optimal use of organizational assets to deliver value.
    • Project Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress using established metrics, prepare regular status reports for senior leadership, and drive continuous improvement in project delivery.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or related field (essential)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification (preferred)
    • 3+ years project management experience, preferably managing multiple concurrent projects in a business or IT environment.
    • 3+ years’ experience leading cross-functional teams.
    • Deep understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).
    • Strong systems knowledge and technical proficiency in enterprise platforms and tools.
    • Proven track record in resource planning, risk management, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
    • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong organizational, decision-making, and influencing abilities.

    Process Automation Technician

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & OUTPUTS

    • PLC Automation & Programming
    • Fault-find, maintain, modify, and optimise PLC-controlled machinery and process lines
    • Interpret PLC programs, I/O configurations, electrical schematics, and P&IDs
    • Perform PLC backups, version control, and controlled program changes
    • Support commissioning of new equipment, upgrades, and process improvements
    • Interface with HMI (production values for both maintenance and operation) and SCADA systems for diagnostics, and production support
    • Drives, Motors & MCCs
    • Install, configure, and fault-find Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
    • Diagnose motors, encoders, sensors, and feedback devices
    • Maintain and troubleshoot MCC panels, starters, protection systems, and field cabling
    • Support energy efficiency initiatives through correct drive and motor operation
    • Instrumentation & Process Control
    • Install, calibrate, and maintain process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, level, speed)
    • Maintain control valves, actuators, transmitters, and pneumatic systems Conduct loop checks, commissioning, and functional testing
    • Maintain calibration records and ensure process accuracy
    • Maintenance & Plant Reliability
    • Execute planned preventative and predictive maintenance activities
    • Attend breakdowns and restore plant operation with minimal downtime
    • Perform root-cause analysis on recurring automation and instrumentation failures
    • Support reliability improvement and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Machine Relocation & Commissioning (Advantageous)
    • Participate in machine relocation projects including electrical and instrumentation disconnection and reconnection
    • Perform I/O verification, loop checks, and safety interlock testing
    • Support commissioning, site acceptance testing (SAT), as well as offsite manufacturing factory acceptance tests (FAT) and production handover
    • Utilities & Plant Services (Advantageous)
    • Support automation and instrumentation for boilers, steam systems, compressors, chilled water, HVAC, and LPG systems
    • Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping
    • Comply with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
    • Adhere to lock-out, tag-out, permit-to-work, and safe isolation practices
    • Maintain high housekeeping standards in all E&I work areas
    • Ensure documentation, drawings, and records are accurate and up to date

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 / Matric with mathematics or math’s literacy essential.
    • National Diploma or Technical Qualification in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics
    • Trade Test (Instrumentation Technician / Electrician / Millwright) – advantageous
    • 8–10 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment
    • Proven experience witPLC automation and programming, VSDs, motors, MCCs, and industrial instrumentation.

    Advantageous Skills & Experience

    • Millwright qualification or strong millwright exposure
    • Experience in machine relocation, commissioning, and re-commissioning
    • Textile manufacturing process exposure
    • Utilities and plant services automation
    • Pneumatics and hydraulics experience
    • Continuous-process or 24/7 production plant experience

    Fibre Production Operator

    Key Accountabilities and Outputs:

    Production Management – Deep Focus 

    • Run Fibre Line Machine to produce product to achieve the shift production plan (volumes across all the machines) ensuring product specifications and quality standards are adhered to.  This including: 
    • String up machine as required. 
    • Keep spin packs clean. 
    • Notify supervisor immediately of spin packs blocking.    
    • Help supervisor change spin packs when required. 
    • Thread crimper and set controls to working conditions. 
    • Correct crimper threading tool to be used. 
    • Assist fellow operator when required. 
    • Remove yarn wraps from godets. 
    • Come to work 5 minutes early, find out from the off going operators of any problems experienced on his shift. 
    • Observe all safety precautions. 
    • Perform other tasks as required by the supervisor or higher authority. 
    • Carry out all tasks as per documented department procedures

    Production Metrics 

    • Track all production made during the shift against the production plan and be able to supply the Shift Supervisor with an update.  
    • Track Grade 2, off quality and other waste levels during shift production to look for trends and work with the Shift Supervisor to find long term solutions. 

    Stakeholder relationships 

    • Attend daily shift team briefings and relay critical information to the Shift Supervisor to be constantly updated of issues requiring attention. 
    • Constantly update the shift supervisor on quality standards and product specific issues during the shift 
    • Work with the other shift operators to implement solutions to quality defects or product specification issues detected. 

    Reporting and Documentation 

    • Ensure that all processes, recipes, and production specifications are documented into required SOP and process flow formats and stored centrally as per agreed document management system. 
    • Ensure the most up to date SOPs and transactional documentation are followed to ensure consistency of process. 
    • Work with the Shift Supervisor to implement continuous improvement processes to improve output, reduce variability and manage operational constraints. 

    Safety, Health, Environment – We Tread Softly 

    • Perform all shift activities that ensure compliance with applicable safety, health and environment legislation and audit requirements. 
    • Report any safety defects to the Shift Supervisor. 
    • Clean the Fibre department to ensure that housekeeping standards are always maintained.  
    • Ensure housekeeping is kept to 5S standard. 
    • Ensure machines and areas around Fibre Line are always kept clean.  
    • Follow any reasonable work instruction as may be required from time to time. 

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 / Matric with Math’s is essential 
    • CTFL Learnership or 1 year’s relevant production experience in Needle Punch is essential.
    • Ability and skill to operate the Fibre Line machine according to quality standards and product specifications. 
    • Must not be colour blind.
    • Must have good vision (to see the finer details in Fibre manufacturing) 
    • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001,18001 is an advantage.  
    • System and application knowledge e.g., 5S, D365 
    • The incumbent requires technical knowledge and experience (minimum 2 years) in Fibre Line production.
