    Warehouse Operations Supervisor

    Job Description

    • Responsible for overseeing all finished goods warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, accurate inventory control, and timely dispatch. The role focuses on driving team performance, maintaining high operational standards, and supporting continuous improvement within a fast-paced environment.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Oversee daily warehouse operations (receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch)
    • Ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment
    • Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counts and audits
    • Lead, coach, and manage warehouse staff performance
    • Enforce health, safety, and compliance standards (including FIFO)
    • Drive process improvements and monitor key KPIs
    • Utilise WMS/ERP systems for reporting and operational control
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • A three-year tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
    • 3–5 years warehouse experience (FMCG preferred) with 1–2 years supervisory experience
    • Strong leadership and team management skills
    • Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
    • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
    • Proficiency in WMS/ERP (Dynamics BC preferred) and advanced Excel
    • Solid knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and health & safety
    • Proven track record in inventory control and operational efficiency

    Technician -UHT/ESL Filling &Downstream

    • Woodlands Dairy is seeking technicians to service and maintain UHT and ESL Filling & Distribution Equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance of filling and downstream equipment, working both independently and within a team to achieve production and maintenance targets. This role requires flexibility to work shifts and overtime to meet operational demands.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on filling and downstream equipment.
    • Work independently and collaboratively within a team to achieve production and maintenance targets.
    • Ensure equipment reliability and efficiency through proactive fault-finding and problem-solving.
    • Support operational requirements by working shifts and overtime when necessary.
    • Adhere to safety, quality, and compliance standards in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

    Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

    • Qualified Millwright or Electrician. (Essential)
    • Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in maintenance within FMCG or related industries.
    • Strong technical expertise in:
    • Hydraulics
    • Electrics
    • Pneumatics
    • Mechanics
    • PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)

    Process Manager

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Process Manager to provide operational leadership and drive manufacturing excellence across our liquid processing operations. The successful candidate will focus on operational performance, process optimisation, people development, cost management and continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead safe, efficient and cost-effective liquid processing operations.
    • Drive continuous improvement in throughput, quality, reliability, efficiency and waste reduction.
    • Improve product yields and reduce process losses.
    • Manage departmental OPEX and contribute to CAPEX planning.
    • Lead and support manufacturing projects, plant upgrades and operational readiness.
    • Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, regulatory and company standards.
    • Develop and lead high-performing teams through coaching and talent development.
    • Collaborate across Production, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical or Process Engineering.
    • 7 to 10 years’ experience in dairy, food, beverage, FMCG or a similar process manufacturing environment.
    • At least 5 years’ leadership/management experience within manufacturing operations.
    • Proven experience in continuous improvement, budget management, yield improvement, waste reduction and cost optimisation.
    • Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Advantageous

    • Postgraduate qualification in Manufacturing, Operations, Business or Project Management.
    • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement certification.
    • Exposure to manufacturing expansion projects and technology implementation.

    Junior Production Supervisor (X2)

    About the Role: 

    • Woodlands Dairy is seeking two dedicated, self-motivated, and results-driven UHT Junior Production Supervisors to join our Production Team in Humansdorp. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and are passionate about driving operational excellence, quality, safety, and continuous improvement. 

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • The successful candidates will be responsible for managing the UHT production facility during shift operations, ensuring that daily production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational objectives are consistently achieved. Responsibilities include maintaining high housekeeping standards on production lines, minimizing production losses, monitoring the correct usage of cleaning chemicals, conducting on-line quality inspections, and ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained to required standards. 
    • The role requires effective communication with management and production teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork. Additional responsibilities include workforce administration, timesheet management, report writing, updating production performance charts, enforcing health and safety regulations, ensuring correct PPE usage, attending maintenance meetings, optimizing labour utilization, and maintaining cleanliness and organization across production, rework, and yard areas. 

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • The ideal candidate will possess a Matric Certificate and have successfully completed a Supervisory Course, together with 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment. Knowledge of dairy manufacturing processes, systems, and equipment will be advantageous.
