    Floor Assistant - PMB (Pietermaritzburg)

    Description

    • We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Floor Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist customers on the floor, ensure the store is well-maintained, and support the overall operations of the retail environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Customer Assistance
    • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Provide product information and guidance to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions.
    • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
    • Sales Support
    • Support the sales team in achieving store targets and goals.
    • Assist in setting up product displays and ensuring they are visually appealing.

    Buyer (International and Local) (Longmeadow)

    Purpose of the Role

    • We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Buyer to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our business both locally and internationally. Your responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, creating and maintaining an inventory, quality assurance and liaising with inventory teams and management. The buyer will work with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand.
    • The Buyer should be analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to budget. Knowledge of sales and marketing principles is advantageous.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Research, select and purchase quality products and materials both locally and internationally.
    • Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
    • Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
    • Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
    • Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
    • Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
    • Coordinate with inventory team, management, and warehouse as required.
    • Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field preferred.
    • Relevant experience preferred.
    • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
    • Proficient in appropriate software.
    • Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Occasional domestic and/or international travel.
    • Experience in Electrical/Electronics preferred.

    Workshop Manager (Electrical) - Edenvale (Longmeadow)

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    • To manage and coordinate the manufacturing process of customer orders and stock requisitions in an efficient and effective manner to ensure that customer delivery and expectations are not compromised.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • To use the available Transformer Back order/Stock order reports to continually track and monitor customer orders and stock requisitions and to expedite and accelerate job orders as per customer demand
    • To ensure that all machinery, equipment, and tools used in the manufacturing process are serviced and are in a good and acceptable condition.
    • To ensure that all staff are competent and have a good knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing process and work instructions relating to each function in the Transformer workshop.
    • To create and maintain, as far as reasonably practical a safe work environment without risk to the health of the workers
    • Staff Awareness
    • To ensure that all staff have a thorough knowledge and understanding of:
    • The Company rules & Regulations
    • The disciplinary code
    • The code of ethics
    • Maintain an effective and efficient workforce through continuous coaching and training, this will lead to improved performance, better quality products and an increase in production

    • To manage and maintain an efficient and effective store by ensuring that:
    • Every part is labelled correctly and has a location

    Requirements

    • Advanced Computer literacy
    • Microsoft office package
    • Knowledge of ERP systems
    • Knowledge of Transformer designing and manufacturing up to 100KVA (1.5VA -100KVA) air cooled
    • Business and people management
    • Stock and Material management
    • Knowledge of required Tools and equipment and its maintenance
    • Matric + a tertiary qualification in Electronics/Electrical
    • Previous Management experience
