Broadcast Management System Scheduling
- Creating an accurate daily transmission schedule.
- Maintaining the final schedule and the distribution of it to on air users both internal and external.
Stakeholder Liaison
- Liaising with external departments for any programmes, promo discrepancies, late start times and outstanding material.
- Liaising with the Commercial Time Sales Departments for all commercial scheduling, outstanding material and over sells.
- Communicating all schedule and broadcast responsibilities to FCC.

Branding Management
- Implementing promotion planning and meeting contractual agreements.
- Scheduling channel branding.
- Viewing and scheduling of interstitial programming, channel branding and promos.
Schedule / Playlist Management
- Identifying, prioritising and dealing with issues affecting the broadcast, proactively, in a timely and professional manner by implementing the appropriate solution.

Key Performance Indicator 1
- Comply with Company Policies and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures, methods and workflows.
Key Performance Indicator 2
- Accurate schedules must be created, finalised, and downloaded across a multi-channel platform, on a daily basis as per the roster.

- On-air marketing must be scheduled as per the Priority playout grid sent by the On-air media strategist, which will ensure our target audiences are reached.

- The schedule must be efficiently managed, and all changes and discrepancies are completed before each download.

- Oversee the transmission schedules after hours by being on call should there be any issues regarding the playlist and resolving it before broadcast.

Description
- As the Camera and Lens Technician you would be required to maintain and service all camera equipment and ensure all such equipment is in perfect working order. The task includes fault finding and repairing and the testing of the camera equipment.
Camera Service and Repairing
- Conduct camera first line servicing.
- Test camera equipment.
- Conduct fault finding on camera equipment.
- Repair faulty/damaged camera equipment.
- Document the test/fault finding/repair process (production/job/date/photo/serial number/hospital status).
- Communicate status of equipment with rentals and office systems.
- Source quotes for spare parts and draft purchase order.
- Update hospital/ready for use status once repair is complete.
- Procure spare parts for repairs and refurbishments.
- Complete job cards and ensuring that the costing is billed to the correct department.
Lens Servicing and Repairing
- First line lens servicing in line with stipulated requirement.
- Assessment of lens, determining level of repair required.
Quality Control
- Ensure that all gear complies with the manufacturers service and safety specifications.
Reporting
- Prepare damage and technical reports for client insurance and/or our insurance

Description
- The incumbent would be responsible for mixing all elements on-air and off-air for all studio productions, live and pre-recorded, as well as special projects and outside broadcasts as might be required from time to time, and to assist the Technical Director with the visual and technical look of the production.

Budget Compliance

Technical Operations
- Check desk if everything is working and all relevant elements is loaded for production and report any irregularities to engineering.
- Rebuild effects if they are not running properly.
- Create special effects such as multiple boxed pictures, via the vision desk as per production requirements.
- Ensure that the keys are assigned to the correct graphical elements.
- Ensure all relevant elements are loaded.
Mixing
- View different types of images from a variety of sources, i.e. pictures from several cameras, digital video effects, graphics and outside broadcast materials.
- Under instructions from the Technical Director , selecting the required images and combining them, ensuring a smooth transition between shots – this involves ‘cutting’, ‘mixing’ and ‘wiping’.
- Create and rebuild special effects for outside broadcast and special projects.
Supporting Technical Director
- Stand in for Technical Director when required and ensure with the Director a smooth technical and visual production.
- Cut between sources independently or as directed by the Technical Director.
- Display relevant images on the set monitors and the video wall using the relevant house style.
- Ability to troubleshoot during live broadcasts.

- Higher Certificate in Broadcast, Television, Film and/or Video Technology - Essential
- National Diploma in Broadcast, Television, Film and/or Video Technology - Recommended
Experience
- 4 years in Vision Mixing in Television & Broadcast (Live & Pre-recorded Environment) - Essential
- Drivers License - Recommended
