• Join Lactalis at our site in the Western Cape and take on the challenge of a Finance Accountant.   The purpose of the role is to provide financial support to the Lactalis Southern Africa and African business within the statutory accounting, treasury and tax department.  The end result is to drive the Lactalis Southern Africa and African business objectives while supporting accurate and timeous financial reporting and financial governance.

Required Skills    

• Bcomm or similar
• At least 5-7 years years post qualification experience in a financial function, preferably in a corporate environment within FMCG.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Month end journal preparation
• Monthly sub-system to TB reconciliations for debtors, creditors, and stock
• Review of month end trial balance for reasonability and completeness
• Generate sundry invoices for plant operations
• Monthly working capital reporting
• Monthly free cash flow reporting
• Co-ordination of month-end closure
• Relevant management and operational reporting
• Budgeting and Forecasting

Job Description    

• The responsibility of the role is the supervision of the accounts payable team, reviewing of supplier reconciliations, and to assist in the financial processing, reconciliation, and reporting of financial information for a plant within a centralized accounting environment.

Required Skills    

• Com Degree or equivalent – CA (SA), CIMA advantageous
• 3-5 years’ experience in an FMCG (Food Manufacturing)
• Experience in managing a small team is necessary
• Must be computer literate, have integrated system experience and advanced excel knowledge is important.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Assuming responsibility for the Accounts Payable function for a plant, supervision of   Accounts payable staff and reviewing of accounts payable reconciliations and payments.
• Involvement in the financial function and processes of the plant up to trial balance.
• Assisting the Financial Manager in ad hoc projects   
• Preparing and processing of month end journals.
• Performing general ledger reconciliations.  
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.  
• Checking that effective internal control procedures exists and are adhere to.
• Weekly KPI preparation and analysis, and responsible for monthly preparation of reports.

• Join Lactalis at our offices in Stellenbosch on the challenge role as the Senior Credit Controller. You will be responsible for the management of the Lactalis SA key customers with the purpose of maximising the debtor cash collection performance and reduce overdue debt whilst minimising any risk of late payment and bad debt

Required Skills    

• Grade 12 or Equivalent and further tertiary education will be advantageous
• Minimum three years’ experience in a retail finance environment.
• Working in an FMCG environment would be advantageous
• Computer Literate (MS Office, Word and Excel).

Required Skills

Ensure accurate translation of trade agreements into financial obligations using various systems

• Liaise with Sales team (National and Regional account managers), Trade marketing management and finance/management control departments to understand the financial obligations and ensure accurate and timeous processing thereof on Trade Agreement, Contract and Financial systems
• Accurate and timeous analysis and processing of rebates, discounts, claims, contracts, data validation, to enable accurate accruals, payments, and deductions of commitments to customers
• Maintaining contracts, customer structures, agreement types and methods on various sys tem, ensuring accurate alignment amongst those systems
• Analyse trade agreement calculations for consistency and accuracy, resolving disputes and issues
• Reconciliations of balance sheet accrual accounts, resolving issues
