Purpose of the Job

• To prepare the statutory and management reports of the Group with the objective of providing shareholders, management and other stakeholders accurate financial information (prepared in accordance with applicable statutory regulations and rules) and value-added analysis for the purpose of informed decision making.

What you'll be doing:

• Oversee and perform the consolidation process
• Management accounting - Financial accounting - Group accounting
• Produce: consolidated balance sheets, consolidated income statements, consolidated cash flows, group management accounts and divisionalised management accounts
• Perform operational and financial analysis
• Forecast results and be involved in annual business planning
• Provide technical accounting support
• Management of group statutory audit process
• Drafting annual financial statements
• Ensuring a fully operational consolidation and reporting system

What you'll have done before:

Baseline:

• CA (SA) with a minimum of 1-year post-articles experience at supervisory or managerial level in a finance or audit context
• Demonstrable strength and flair in financial accounting/IFRS
• And post-articles experience at Supervisory level in a finance or Audit context
• Previous hands-on consolidation experience for a large group of companies similar to Engen in an external audit context or in commerce.

Advantageous:

• Knowledge of SAP and SAP BPC consolidation system
• Caseware experience
• An understanding of petroleum industry

• NQF level 7 degree or Advanced Diploma in Marketing/Sales/Finance related or equivalent 15 years’ experience in relevant fields

• 3 years’ experience as Area Manager preferred

Purpose of the Job

• To manage and drive delivery on Engineering & Construction, Consulting and Project Management services in the development and management of property projects and site maintenance (within the affiliates), thereby enabling Retail to meet its objectives in a cost effective and efficient manner.

What you'll have done before
Baseline

• NQF Level 7 (Degree in Construction Management/Quantity Surveying/ Mechanical/ Civil
• 8 years’ experience in Engineering, Construction & Maintenance
• Experience in Project Management
• Experience in Quantity Surveying/ Estimating/ Pricing
• Experience in working with MS Project, AutoCad, Graphics Programmes
• People Management experience

Knowledge of the following:

• Building industry & related trades/ methodology & materials
• Fuel Installation Engineering
• Cost & Quantity Surveying
• Building industry estimation & pricing
• System for Measurement of Builders Work
• Pollution/spill control & clean up procedure

What you'll be doing
SITE EVALUATIONS

• Conduct site evaluations through technical and site risk assessment profile including reports documenting risk & exceptions, general engineering, HSE, design and cost feasibility assessment on suitability of sites to function and to ensure that the site operates as per design.

DESIGN MANAGEMENT & COST ESTIMATION

• Manage design and cost estimation by taking the project through preliminary sketch plan phase for conceptual site approval as well as final working drawings & detailed cost estimates, to facilitate the calculation of Engen's ROI

PROJECT MANAGEMENT 

• Co-ordinate and manage projects and assets in a professional manner to ensure development projects are delivered on time and within budget & deal approval conditions and with no quality assurance deviations
• Manage external consultants, project managers and contractors

COMPLIANCE

• Ensure engineering compliance with Engen and relevant national standards & legislation on all projects
• Manage contractual documentation, reports, minutes of meetings, snag lists and handover documents in a structured way to ensure accessibility and compliance
• Ensure adherence to all HSEQ and Engineering regulations and standards

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

• Build and maintain sustainable relationships with key stakeholders and customers through providing support and engagement (Affiliates, Commercial, Corporate)
• Engage with management and other supporting stakeholders within the divisions
• Build sustainable relationships with all stakeholders 
• Manage consultants, project managers and contractors to ensure projects are carried out in line with agreed timelines and SLA's
