    Strategy Analyst

    Job Advert Summary    

    • The Strategy Analyst is a member of the Group Strategy Function which is organised as a shared capability to support the Hollard Group and partnership businesses.

    The Group Strategy Function is responsible for:

    • providing the Group with market intelligence, strategic insights and corporate performance measures
    • facilitating and aligning strategy formulation and execution across the Group
    • incubating new business opportunities
    • This role will report to the Group Head of Strategy, who reports to the Group Executive: Strategy and Synergies. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Research and analysis – Use various research and analytical methods to produce robust qualitative and quantitative analyses
    • Insight, Judgement and Strategy formulation – Support formulation of strategies through development of data-driven insights
    • Project Management – Plan, own and execute discrete components of work or analysis as part of a broader project
    • Strategy Execution and Impact – Engage with business partners to source relevant information, share insights and drive change

    Required Knowledge and Experience    
    Experience

    • 1 – 3 Years related experience.
    • Background in strategy consulting or possibly strategy arm of a ‘Big 4’ professional services firm, or in-house strategy or corporate development team in consumer or financial services
    • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough, accurate qualitative and quantitative research and analysis is critical

    Job Purpose

    • Provide efficient and effective administrative support for accident and health insurance policy servicing and operations, ensuring excellent customer service, accurate processing, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

    Developer Ops Engineer

    • The purpose of this role is to understand and configure infrastructure and environments for all new implementations, as well as assist with troubleshooting during initial deployments or post-deployment application issues.     Knowledge

    Finance Manager

    Job Advert Summary    

    • Reporting directly into the Head: Group statutory reporting responsible for the Hollard Group financial reporting with a heavy matrix to the senior finance manager, this role is responsible for the end-to-end financial reporting function and providing technical support to the business units.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for all internal and external financial reporting requirements of the Life license.
    • Manage and oversee the month-end-close process and collaborate with actuarial and tax teams for accurate financial reports.
    • Review Business Performance Measures (Performance cell levels) and provide analytical support to the Group Reports
    • Provide financial support in assessing business performance by monitoring the key financial metrics, key ratios, regulatory risks, insurance reserving and other governance and risk management practices
    • Management of Group wide financial planning and forecasting process across the Hollard Group
    • Ensure financial controls are designed, implemented and managed within the financial reporting environment and drive balance sheet controls / management across the Group.
    • Prepare and coordinate the regulatory reporting for Group (PA, SARB etc)
    • Stakeholder Support: Actuarial, Tax and provide support to divisions and the external audit process.
    • Preparation of the consolidated annual financial statements
    • Research of changes to statutory and regulatory reporting requirements and responsible for the development of Hollard actions in response to the changes
    • Provide technical accounting support to business units and drive implementation of technical standards

    Required Knowledge and Experience    
    Required Experience: 

    • A minimum of 2-5 years’ experience (post articles)
    • A minimum of 2 years financial management experience
    • Insurance Industry experience preferable

    Required Knowledge and Skills:

    • Knowledge of accounting packages, systems and controls including reporting and budgeting (Great Plains / HFM)
    • Exceptional business acumen and broad business knowledge
    • In depth knowledge of financial accounting and related processes
