    Head of Department Academics: Grade 4 - 7 - Bedfordview

    Minimum Requirements    

    • A minimum requirement of a Professional Degree in Education and/or a four (4) year professional teaching qualification
    • Teaching experience within the ISASA School System is essential
    • Good organisational and administrative skills
    • Dynamic, with excellent interpersonal skills
    • Computer literacy is imperative
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as to manage a team
    • Ability to identify with the values, culture, and ethos of the school
    • Valid SACE, Police clearance, Sexual offenders, and Child protection certificates
    • Experience in a leadership/management position will be an advantage.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Encouraging, creating, and directing the pursuit of excellence and innovation in the quality of teaching, learning, and assessment.
    • Researching and investigating current global educational trends and the implementation of such activities.
    • Identifying and facilitating staff development programmes and staff opportunities for growth
    • Monitoring academic growth and development within the various disciplines
    • Regular consultation with the academic staff, Subject Leaders, Phase Psychologist, and HOD of Foundation Phase.
    • Providing guidance and advice to staff by means of class observation(s), and regular review of pupil activities, and tracking pupil results.
    • Mentoring of new staff

    Tennis Coach - Bedfordview

    • This position requires a person with sound interpersonal and administrative skills, enthusiastic, energetic and caring. The successful candidate must increase tennis opportunities through the School's co-ordinated sports programme. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Must have represented the province as a tennis player
    • have proven tennis coaching experience

    Any of the below listed, would be advantageous in the application process:

    • A relevant qualification in Sports Management/Administration/ currently studing teaching qualification
    • Coaching qualifications relevant to the sporting code mentioned
    • Refereeing/Umpiring experience or relevant qualification
    • SACE certificate

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Include but not limited to:

    • Delivering coaching across various phases;
    • Planning engaging and fun tennis practice sessions;
    • Officiating fixtures and tournaments;
    • Ensuring a safe training environment;
    • Promoting  tennis to the SAHETI community;
    • Carrying out Risk Assessments as and when required;
    • Working closely with the Sports Department; and 
    • Traveling with students to and from fixtures and tournaments.
