Key areas of responsibility for this role include but are not limited to:

• Be the first point of contact for all training and development related queries within Onsites.
• Plan and coordinate training interventions for Onsites department.
• Source relevant training service providers.
• Manage relationships with training service providers to supplement training efforts for the business.
• Coordinate external training as required by the business.
• Construct relevant learning solutions, presentations, and training material.
• Update the learning management system with programme information related to training programmes.
• Facilitate learning programmes and content, specifically relating to internal safety training, learning management system requirements.
• Assisting in onboarding training requirements.
• Tracking and monitoring the training and development needs of staff by liaising with Management and HR.
• Identify, classify, and manage training and development-related files and documentation, ensuring compliance with record handling and audit requirements for proper maintenance and protection.
• Prepare progress reports for all training interventions.
• Provide administrative support and respond to queries received by the department.
• Analyse the feedback from employees regarding different training programs to identify areas of improvement and implement relevant changes.

 Essential Requirements

• A National Diploma in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering will be Advantageous.
• A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in training environment.
• Computer literate in MS Office with a high degree of proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook.

Overview & Key Responsibilities

• This role is responsible for the operations and safe functioning of the CO2 Plant. Responsibilities include active participation in Safety Management programs, including the BSP, as well as overseeing the loading and testing of Bulk CO2 Tankers.

 The key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

• Operate the CO2 Plant in accordance with established Procedures, Work Instructions, and Policies to ensure uninterrupted production while adhering to the company's safety and quality standards.
• Oversee daily operations, including managing plant trips and facilitating plant start-ups (boxing in and out of the plant).
• Conduct general inspections of the plant to ensure optimal functioning and safety compliance.
• Reporting: Compile and submit shift reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Emergency Coordination: Handle and coordinate emergencies in line with established emergency procedures.
• Permit Issuance: Issue Safety Work Permits, Confined Space Permits, and other necessary documentation.
• Housekeeping Maintenance: Ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained throughout the plant.
• Safety Program Participation: Actively participate in the safety program within the CO2 Plant to uphold and enhance the Safety Management System and all company safety standards.

Essential Requirements

• A minimum of Matric with Maths & Science;
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Operational within a relevant industry;
• Basic electrical, mechanical and process understanding;
• Ability to perform strenuous work;
• Excellent Verbal, writing and communication skills;
• Able and willing to work within a shift system and overtime when or if required;
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, while consistently meeting deadlines;
• Must possess a working cell phone or contact number for effective communication;
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must have valid Driver’s license;
• Be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;

Job Description

• The Technician will be responsible for the performance of required installations and maintenance activities on Reef operational sites effectively, efficiently, and safely. Key areas of responsibility for this role include but are not limited to:
• Performance of planned & unplanned maintenance and installation activities as directed;
• Planning, communicating, and reporting on maintenance and installation activities within the area;
• Assisting with and performance of identified project activities as directed;
• Compliance with required Safety systems and protocols within APSAP and customer sites.

Minimum Requirements

• A Matric certificate with Maths and Science or N3 qualification with technical subjects;
• Must be a Red Seal Trade-Tested Artisan (preferably a Millwright or Fitter);
• Have a proven record of Apprenticeship;
• Advantages to being a registered accredited SACGA gas installer;
• A valid unendorsed code 08 driver’s license;
• A minimum of 3 – 5 years of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance work experience in an engineering environment in the Industrial or Chemical Industry;
• Cryogenic gas experience would be advantageous;
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills;
• Must be computer literate and proficient in the MS Office Suite;
• Must be willing to work shifts and overtime as and when required;
• Must be willing to be on standby on weekends and public holidays;
• Must be willing to travel extensively as and when required;
• Medically fit to work at heights.
