    Professional Nurse - Thabo Mofutsanyane

    Description

    • To provide Comprehensive Quality Nursing Care to patients at all service delivery points, including pre, intra and post circumcision.

    Requirements

    Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience :

    • Diploma in Nursing (General, Community, Psychiatry) and Midwifery.
    • A valid South African driver’s license endorsed with a PrDP (Professional Driving Permit) is compulsory.

    Desirable Qualifications and Experience :

    • A Diploma in Nursing and VMMC Certificate.
    • Two to three years working experience as Professional Nurse in the surgical environment.
    • Two years NGO working experience, Infection Control
    • Certificate, VMMC Certificate, HIV Management Certificate.

     Key Performance Areas:

    • Assist to align demand creation and clinical efforts to ensure collaboration in working towards targets.
    • Assist in provision of coaching and mentorship to Demand Creation Officers and Social Mobilisers regarding demand creation programme performance.
    • Assist in drafting of annual Operational plan.
    • Assist in drafting demand creation plans as required.

    Clinical Output:

    • Implement Voluntary Male Circumcision Programme (VMMC) at facility level in accordance with provincial and SA national guidelines.
    • Ensure comprehensive package of VMMC services available.
    • Maintain and respond to QA assessments.
    • Chair/attend staff meetings.
    • Ensure all Circumcised Clients are followed up as per SA/WHO guidelines.
    • Management of VMMC related adverse events effectively.
    • Obtain informed consent from clients by providing them with essential information as per the National
    • Department of Health (NDoH) and PEPFAR VMMC/HTS guidelines.
    • Provide age- and culturally appropriate group and individual counselling to clients within language of their understanding.
    • Screen patients for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) as per current STI guidelines and Tuberculosis (TB) by asking the four standard TB screening questions and refer patients accordingly.
    • Ensure that the key elements of VMMC education are included in counselling sessions (i.e. risks, benefits, description of surgery, explanation of partial protective effect of VMMC procedure, VMMC being a permanent procedure, importance of knowing HIV status, and post-operative care).Conduct pre- and post-HIV counselling and testing as per most recent NDoH HTS guidelines.

    Linkage to Care and Treatment:

    • Record personal and contact information of newly tested HIV positive clients in the linkage to care and treatment register.
    • Conduct Active and/or supported linkage to care and treatment of all newly diagnosed HIV positive clients.
    • Ensure all clients tested HIV positive are linked to care and started treatment and record on the register accordingly.
    • Confirm that all linked clients have reached a care and treatment facility within a week of referral.
    • Follow up on all linked clients at one-, three- and six months into care and treatment.
    • Verify that all linked clients are still in care and treatment and adhere to their treatment.
    • Receive and process all HIV negative clients that are referred from HTS partners for VMMC services.

    Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure all source documents are available and well utilised by the Roving team.
    • Ensure utilisation of PPE materials by all staff at the facility.
    • Ensure clinical staff conducts Medical Circumcision in line with Minimum Surgical Procedure Standards.
    • Ensure adherence to Infection Prevention and Control Standards.
    • Ensure all follow-up and review of clients are conducted and documented accordingly.
    • Ensure availability and correct Supply Chain Management processes of Supplies, Equipment and Environment.
    • Ensure Emergency Management/Referral Protocol are adhered to.
    • Assist in verification of all data before reporting.

    Cleaner - Thabo Mofutsanyane

    Description

         Minimum Qualifications and Experience 

    • Grade 10/Standard 8
    • VMMC certificate
    • Two years working experience as a cleaner in health facilities

         Desirable Experience:

    Requirements

          Program Output:

    • Cleaning all areas of the VMMC clinic site, including offices, exam rooms, operating rooms, pre and post assessment, waiting area counselling rooms, toilets, kitchen and the entrance hall

         Key Performance Areas:

    • Introduce the VMMC programme to communities and conduct profiling by means of various sources.
    • Based on the results obtained from community profiling, allocate Social Mobilisers to various supported areas by means of GIS Mapping in order to ensure proper coverage of target/pivot populations.
    • Coordinate and supervise demand creation activities performed by Social Mobilisers within various Right to Care-supported areas.
    • Schedule demand creation activities (i.e. information sessions, talks, events, etc.). aimed at promoting VMMC in designated areas (i.e. door-to-door visits, events at taxi ranks, youth clubs, malls, etc.).
    • Create appropriate demand creation training plans based on training needs analyses.

    • Actively seek out opportunities for Social Mobilisers to participate in events and collaborate with organisations, government and/or schools for VMMC service delivery.
    • Collaborate with local stakeholders (Community Based Organisations and other partners) to ensure proper coordination of social mobilisation campaigns..
    • Mentor Social Mobilisers by addressing their challenges and barriers that prohibit them from reaching their targets

    Data Manager - Centurion

    Description

    The role will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective monitoring, and evaluation of programme activities centred on results-based management and ensure learning for programme planning and decision making. The role supports the district team to ensure all programmes and projects are implemented, documented and reported on time. The role also provides leadership and guidance in the implementation of district level monitoring and evaluation technical assistance. Deep dive analyses of program data, especially data residing in the Qode Knowledge centre and directing program implementation accordingly  is a key  deliverable of this position.

    Requirements

    Required Minimum Qualifications and Experience 

    • Tertiary Qualification  in Database Development /Data Systems /IT or Informatics
    • Post-matric certificate in computer literacy
    • Basic knowledge of HIV/AIDS
    • Experience in working with US government or other bilateral donors
    • Ability to conduct data analysis (both quantitative and qualitative)
    • Must be computer literate and must be able to use Windows, MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel as well as statistical analytical package such as STATA, SPSS etc.
    • Proficiency in English
    • At least 3 years’ experience in programme monitoring and evaluation, managing HIV/AIDS-related data, including data verification / quality assurance
    • Project coordination and implementation experience
    • 3 year experience in data management
    • Good working knowledge of relational database applications and data management systems, SQL, Visual, Dbase, CS-Pro, ACCESS etc.
    • Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, health systems, programme development, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation process and related regulatory requirements for National Department of Health and Donors
    • Experience in data management and analysis of District Health Information system (e.g: DHIS, ETR.net, & Tier.net)
    • Knowledge of international donor-funded M&E requirements, USAID and other international donor experience preferred

     Desirable Education and Experience

    • Degree or Diploma in Public Health, Social Sciences, Behavioural Sciences, or related field
    • Post graduate qualification in Data Analytics and Monitoring and Evaluation/Strategic Information will be a distinct advantage.
    • Experience in managing staff and mentoring M&E staff
    • Capacity building and experience conducting monitoring and evaluation experience for various stakeholders
    • Experience in District Health Information Systems (TIER.net, DHIS, ETR.net and DATIM)
