    T2 Junior Technician - Underground - Limpopo

    Providing comprehensive technical services for the efficient and safe operation of electronic technology for health, safety and productivity in the mining sector.

    Minimum Requirements

    • N4 Electronic/Electrical
    • 2-4 years’ experience in electronics (hardware and software) and IT (hardware, networks and software).

    Deputy Executive Network Services - Kempton Park

    JOB PURPOSE

    • Customer Solution design and product verification
    • Participate in the overseeing of customer services to ensure compliance with Stratosat contracted / not contracted commitments and or obligations.
    • Product / solution training / coaching to colleagues / staff.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • At least an applicable post-graduate University degree or similar.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Customer Solution design and product verification

    • Design customer solutions addressing customer requirements, including detailed low-level and or high-level designs.
    • Participate in the verification, testing or the like of OEM products and or services offered to the market, or is being considered.
    • Participate in researching suitable OEM products and or services that can address customer requirements. Participate in Supplier discussions to determine suitable solutions, costing models, total cost to Stratosat or the like.
    • Participate in conducting / calculating total project / solution cost to Stratosat considering / subject to product / solution scope of work and or customer requirements.

    Customer Services

    • Participate in fault finding, route cause analysis (RCA), diagnostic testing or the like as and when required.
    • Participate in ensuring that customer services are rendered in accordance with contracted or otherwise pre-determined obligations and commitments, including but not limited to that rendered from the Stratosat Network Operations Centre (NOC) and relevant Gateways Earth Stations (GES).
    • Participate in the compilation and presentation of relevant internal and or customer reports.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as and when required, such as for example, service quality, process, product quality, or the like subject to the scope requirements.

    Skills:

    • Excellent computer literacy (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, etc)
    • Must be efficient on Visio/CAD similar programs to do engineering designs.
    • Must have the ability to compile and present complex costing spreadsheets / models in MS Excel.
    • Must have the ability to compile and present advanced MS Power Point presentations to any level of seniority.
    • Supervisory / Managerial skills

    Knowledge:

    • Proven experience in a similar role in the telecommunications industry for at least 5 years.
    • Excellent understanding of satellite and microwave telecommunication technologies with a proven track record and references.
