- A career opportunity exists for a Food Safety Specialist to join the Rosslyn Snacks Factory. The successful incumbent will report to the Quality Manager and will focus on maintaining Food Safety and related activities to secure consumer safety.
Job Specification:
Key Performance Areas:
- To ensure that the highest quality and food safe products are produced through management of GMP audits, deep cleaning schedules and processes, fumigation schedules and practices, ensuring the highest cleaning and pest control standards
- To manage the cleaning, sanitation, hygiene and pest control contracts effectively.
- To manage product safety and quality through AIB, FSSC 22000 and HACCP systems, ensuring site compliance.
- To manage the Allergen Control Program for the site
- To manage and improve the site’s HACCP Program.
- Conduct Food Safety Training and Inductions for site personnel
Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
- Ideally, 5 years’ experience in the food industry in quality assurance and food safety.
Qualifications:
- National Diploma/ Degree in Food Technology or equivalent qualification essential
- Certification in FSSC 22000; AIB and Auditing is essential
Additional Requirements:
- Analytical/investigative nature (Root Cause Analysis)
- Strong knowledge in Quality Management Systems
- Audit and compliance knowledge
- AIB and FSSC 22000 standards

- Implement action plans based on mystery shopper feedback to continuously elevate service standards
- Build strong relationships with customers and maintain a loyal client base
- Provide in-store coaching and continuous training to refine sales and service skills
Inspiring and leading a high-performance team
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-calibre retail team that embodies our brand values
- Drive performance through structured Individual Performance Agreements (IPAs), one-on-one coaching, and meaningful feedback sessions
- Recognise and reward excellence while ensuring accountability with clear expectations
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourages growth
Driving Sales and Operational Excellence
- Monitor daily sales performance and ensure every team member contributes to store targets
- Analyse the income statement and manage expenses to maximise profitability
- Maintain optimal stock levels in alignment with customer demand and store needs
- Ensure compliance with in-store controls, visual merchandising standards, and premium store presentation
- Use key retail disciplines to manage store operations efficiently
Achieving Business Targets
- Deliver on key metrics, including trading density, basket size, and salary-to-sales ratios
- Align team performance with brand goals, ensuring a seamless and luxurious shopping experience
What It Takes to Succeed:

- At least 12 – 18 months of management experience in a retail environment

- Tertiary Retail Qualification (advantageous)
