    Accountant - Sandton

    Job Summary:

    To coordinate and manage finance and administration functions of hospitals in line with relevant standards and following good corporate governance.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degre in Accounting or Finance.
    • 3 years relevant work experience.
    • Understanding of the private healthcare industry.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Prepare journal entries and ledger account reconciliations.
    • Reviews accounting transactions for proper classification.
    • Manages the Head office petty cash, credit cards.
    • Prepare reconciliations of general ledger accounts and ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues.
    • Maintain files for audit purposes and record history.
    • Prepare analysis of accounts to ensure all relevant expenses are recorded.
    • Engages with internal and external stakeholders, as required, to ensure efficient financial administration.
    • Assist with any other analysis and projects as assigned and prepares reports detailing findings for Financial Manager’s review.
    • Provides assistance to the Financial Manager, where applicable.
    • Escalate any potential risk to the Finance Manager.
    • Perform all balance sheet recons month to month and ensure accuracy and completeness of all account balances.
    • Pass all standard journal entries month to month and ensure that proper approval process is followed.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
    • Submit monthly VAT computations/calculations timeously for filing and payment.
    • Participate actively in external audits, implement findings, and take corrective action.
    • Ensure all systems are current and working effectively and escalate to service provider as per requirements.
    • Manage asset replacement, as well as the asset verification and assessment process.
    • Maintain the asset register and ensure this is current and comprehensive.
    • Ensure compliance to relevant policies and procedures with regards to asset removal/scrapping.
    • Implement, monitor and control relevant finance processes according to quality standards, policy, compliance and governance requirements.
    • Ensure the alignment and implementation of end-to-end standard operating procedures / processes.
    • Research, enable and consult on improvements and opportunities.
    • Review existing processes and suggest innovative ideas to improve and streamline processes to drive efficiencies and minimise redundancy.

    Infection Control Practitioner - Soweto

    Job Summary:

    To develop delivery plans related to infection control, ensuring practice integration and operational implementation through successful prevention of healthcare-acquired infections (HAIs) by isolating sources of infections and limiting their spread. Systematically collecting, analysing, and interpreting health data to plan, implement, evaluate, and disseminate appropriate public health practices.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Nursing degree/diploma.
    • Registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Registered Nurse.
    • Successful completion of Basic Infection Control Course and maintain ongoing certification.
    • Current membership for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology Recognized Associations advantageous.
    • Previous experience would be advantageous in a Health Facility/Hospital environment/public health facility.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Knowledge of epidemiology and application of Public Health practices in an acute care Hospital environment
    • Demonstrated Clinical expertise and ability to teach and educate all stakeholders to combat disease transmission including (2) two years in a leadership capacity.
    • Infection Control Practice, Clinical Nursing, Clinical Microbiology or Epidemiology, surveillance experience preferred.
    • Excellent Problem-Solving, Conflict Resolution, Effective Organizational, Interpersonal, Customer Service, Time Management and Communication Skills Computer proficiency
