Job Purpose:

The Packaging Engineer occupies a position within the research and development department of Danone. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Packaging Development Manager in packaging activities and directly supporting individual projects independently.

Key Responsibilties:

• Support the Packaging innovation process by proposing, developing and implementing packaging solutions
• Design packaging systems with creativity while considering their contribution to the project's P& L
• Research and develop new materials, shapes and assembly lines for Danone's portfolio of brands and products
• Development of primary, secondary and transport packaging for and in collaboration with the Marketing, Sales, Production, Engineering and Supply Chain departments
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, other Danone subsidiaries, factories, manufacturing partners and other applicable technology sources
• Create and maintain packaging specifications for all brands
• Structure, organize and carry out trials in an industrial environment using the trial protocol
• Ensure quality of first production run for all products where new packaging is employed plus conduct plant training to ensure continuity
• Establish and maintain supplier networks and relations to align them and ensure high delivery into projects with value-add packaging solutions at affordable prices

Qualification(s):

• Packaging Diploma/Food Science, Degree/Mechanical or Chemical Engineering oriented toward Packaging development

Experience and Skills:

• 5 Years' experience in Packaging Development within the FMCG environment
• Advanced knowledge of MS Word, MS Windows and MS Excel, Lotus notes
• Proven leadership in multidisciplinary teams focused on developing new products, including marketing, sales, purchasing and manufacturing representatives.
• Solid knowledge and experience in project management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment; autonomy and a demonstrated ability to propose new solutions and ideas spontaneously
• Must be willing and able to travel mainly to co packers and distribution centers for travel test assessments

Role Purpose

• To manage and maintain medical credibility of the SN organization in line with business strategy and drive and support overall business strategy by building and maintaining strategic business relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and other business partners.
• To manage strategies to expand patient access to the Nutricia SN products services portfolio in a sustainable manner, by enabling funding, reimbursement, formulary and/or tender status through convincing clinical and health economic arguments, by influencing decisions regarding reimbursement criteria and price via value propositions and dossier submissions.
• To strengthen the position of Nutricia and its products in front of government bodies, relevant medical communities in order to create a favourable and conductive environment by which Nutricia can achieve its goals. Guarantee abiding by the company and regulatory code compliance

Key Requirements

• Build a strong network of KOLs, Healthcare Professionals and other relevant stakeholders
• Responsible for the development of regulatory strategies to support the registration of new products, major changes and life cycle management
• Review speaker agreements and required documentation as prepared and collated by the fieldforce team to ensure abiding by company and regulatory compliance guidelines

Education

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent qualification, preferably with speciality in nutrition, dietetics, or related medical field.

Experience / Knowledge Required

• 3-5 years' experience in Regulatory Affairs or Medical Affairs within the Nutrition, Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry with deep disease area knowledge.
