    Registered Nurse - Surgical Ward - Isipingo

    PURPOSE OF POSITION

    • To provide age-appropriate patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Must be able to practice within your scope of practice as a Registered Nurse.
    • Must be competent with the Hospitals Policies and Regulations.
    • Ability to lead and supervise staff.
    • Attend to patients care within the Unit.
    • Attend to Patients complaints.

    COMPETENCIES (The following will be advantageous)

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    (Educational Qualifications & Experience)

    • Must be registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse.
    • Preferably have two or more years of experience as RN in Surgical Ward.
    • Must be prepared to do shift work.
    • Must be computer literate – MS Word & Excel.

    Registered Nurse - SICU - Isipingo

    PURPOSE OF POSITION

    • To Provide age-appropriate patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the SouthbAfrican Nursing Council (SANC).

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill medical patients in the SICU.
    • Assess, monitor, and manage patients with severe medical conditions, including acute respiratory failure, multi-organ dysfunction, and severe infections.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team, ensuring compliance with SANC regulations.
    • Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, and other critical parameters, promptly responding to any changes in patient conditions.
    • Assist in the management of life-supporting equipment such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and IV infusion pumps.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans for patients. Provide emotional support to patients and their families during critical care episodes.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all aspects of patient care.
    • Ensure adherence to infection control practices and hospital protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment.
