Description of the role and purpose of the job:
IT Audit Senior Manager responsible for scoping, planning and managing a team to execute the reengineering of financial statement and internal audits to optimally leverage our client’s information systems and data as well as technologies available to the firm to achieve efficiency, risk mitigation, optimal assurance and differentiation. Managing of teams in the execution of large or complex audit clients.
The secondary purpose is advising clients in managing risks associated with information management, information technology governance, business systems risk management, project risk management and information security.
Experience in performing IT audits and auditing the IT systems of external and internal audit clients, specifically in the Banking, Manufacturing, Retail, Consumer Markets and Insurance industries is required for this specific position. Experience in IT Attestation audits (ISAE3402, SOC 1) and PCAOB audits is advantageous.
You will also be responsible for providing guidance to junior colleagues on their goals, performance and career progression in the capacity of Performance Manager as well as other operational roles within the division.

Minimum requirements to apply for the role (including qualifications and experience):
- Completed BCom / BSc is essential, completed Honours is advantageous
- Minimum 8 years IT Audit experience
- Big 4 or mid-tier Audit Firm experience preferred
- CISA, CRISC or relevant professional qualification required

The role will provide opportunity to be involved in various stages of the client’s ESG journey including advising on ESG strategy, transition, and implementation – including in specialist areas like climate change and human rights and helping clients to understand their ESG readiness and prepare for ESG reporting

Key responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of ESG transformation and reporting engagements. From advising clients with ESG strategy, transition and implementation;
- Assist clients to understand their ESG readiness and prepare for ESG reporting;
- ESG SME and ambassador for the firm;
- Participate in market activities to grow the ESG market for the firm;
- Develop and train team;
- Vision through to target operating model development design (including future state validation and deployment) to the evolution of implemented operating models;
- Interpret client requirements and support the team with the sales process of ESG projects engagements including an appropriate tailored approach and methodology;
- Understand how technology enables the ESG function of the future etc;
- Display diligence during the execution of any work of KPMG’s internal risk management processes at all times;
- Contribute effectively to the discussions around the ESG Agenda and actively participate in generating creative ideas and thoughts; and
- Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Minimum requirements to apply for the role:
- Minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience working on ESG projects or a ESG transformation and reporting.
- Professional qualification with degree in engineering, accounting or environmental sciences with experience in corporate performance measurement and reporting, including business process management and functional systems specifications/CA (SA)
