    Credit Controller

    Job Advert Summary    

    • We are looking for a detail-orientated and proactive Credit Controller to join our Receivables In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full credit control cycle, assisting with timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining strong customer relationships.

    Minimum Requirements    
    Required Qualifications / Experience

    • Minimum Grade 12
    • Additional tertiary education will be an added advantage.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in Credit Control
    • SAP knowledge advantageous
    • Computer literate (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook)
    • Must be emotionally intelligent.

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Job Specification

    • Develop and maintain customer relations.
    • Ensure effective customer service by understanding client’s needs and expectations and delivering what is promised.
    • Opening of new accounts
    • Collecting, monitoring, and following up on outstanding debt and month end payments
    • Payment allocations need to be done as per remittance.
    • Handles disputed accounts. Sorting queries out timeously.
    • Check credit limits of customer accounts. Releasing of credit held orders.
    • Knowledge of CGIC policy and procedures will be advantageous.
    • Negotiate with customers to bring account payment in line with terms.
    • Must be able to calculate interest, debtor’s days and reporting it to the Credit Manager timeously.
    • Ensuring that credit limits on all clients are reviewed monthly. Credit limit motivations to be done.
    • Reconcile bank statements.
    • Allocation of payment received on customer accounts according to different foreign currencies.
    • Send out monthly statements and relevant documentation to customers.
    • Compile documentation for legal action according to company policy and procedures
    • Maintain performance statistics within set time frames.
    • Monthly management reports
    • Controlling of own debtors' book according to company policy and procedures

    • Macsteel Gqeberha is seeking a safety-conscious and motivated Warehouse Operator to perform loading, offloading, storage, scanning, stock control, and general warehouse activities within the branch.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate handling of material, maintaining stock integrity, supporting operational requirements, and contributing to a safe and efficient warehouse environment.

    Minimum Requirements

    Material Handling & Storage

    • Load and offload material safely and accurately using overhead cranes and forklifts.Receive incoming material and verify quantities, grades, sizes, and condition.
    • Store material in the correct allocated bays and storage locations.
    • Ensure material is packed, stacked, and stored safely to prevent damage and deterioration.
    • Check, sling, and secure material correctly before loading and offloading activities.
    • Mark, label, barcode, and identify material in accordance with company requirements.

    Stock Control

    • Assist with stock cycle counts and stock verification activities.
    • Report stock shortages, damages, and discrepancies before the end of each shift.
    • Ensure stock accuracy through adherence to warehouse procedures and controls.

    Operational Support

    Job Advert Summary   

    • Macsteel Meyerton is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented NDT Technician to join its Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing inspections on steel products and components to ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • A comprehensive career history must accompany the application, including full details of educational institutions attended, training completed, employment history, temporary assignments, and any periods of unemployment up to the date of application.
    • Minimum NQF Level 4–5 qualification (Grade 12/Matric plus a Higher Certificate or equivalent).
    • Relevant post-school qualification in Non-Destructive Testing, including Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Level 1 certification.
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience performing Non-Destructive Testing within a steel manufacturing or heavy industrial production environment.
    • Additional qualifications and/or experience in electronic, electrical, or mechanical disciplines will be advantageous.
    • Proficient in the use of computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software systems.
    • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
    • Willingness and ability to work overtime and shifts as operational requirements dictate.
    • Successful completion of a pre-employment medical examination is required.

    • Monitor and maintain optimal performance of inspection and testing equipment, while ensuring high standards of housekeeping across the inspection area.
    • Plan, coordinate, and support preventative maintenance activities, including the management of consumables, spare parts, and equipment availability.
    • Assist with the design, development, modification, and continuous improvement of existing inspection and testing systems and equipment.
    • Participate in project initiatives aimed at enhancing inspection processes, product quality, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
    • Benchmark inspection methods and processes against industry best practices and support the development and implementation of inspection procedures for new products and applications.
