    MNPS Trainee (Pinetown)

    Description

    • Conduct work studies and line balancing activities.
    • Conduct MNPS trainings with all staff.
    • Design and maintain the plant layout.
    • Apply the Kaizen methods in the plant.
    • Give feedback to management on the activities within the MNPS.
    • Map new & update existing processes.
    • Ensure the latest processes are always available for auditing purposes.
    • Improve assembly processes regarding efficiency and quality.
    • Support operations with resource planning for volume changes.
    • Lead the productivity improvement initiatives.
    • Pro-actively adjust the human resources to support the organization as a whole.
    • Save costs through efficient programs that seek to achieve optimal productivity.
    • Develop strong networks with German colleagues within the MNPS network.
    • Participate in workshops, get improvement ideas & stay up to the latest standards.
    • Actively seek to continuously improve the productivity within the plan to achieve the set targets.
    • Implement new MNPS methods as per agreed roll-out plan with all related training material.
    • Perform time studies and make recommendations - layout changes or headcount reduction.
    • Co-ordinate 5S audits and ensure improvements in 5S KPIs.
    • Perform weekly/monthly reporting on 5S standards within the plant.
    • Continuously look for opportunities for reducing waste in the various departments.
    • Engage the relevant stakeholders in the different departments, solicit ideas and execute.
    • Focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Industrial Engineering degree/diploma.

    Skills:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
    • Energetic and change / improvement focused.
    • Flexible, active and forward thinking.
    • A focus on quality and output performance.
    • Pro-active, reliable, be self-motivated.
    • Work accurately under pressure and be able to meet deadlines.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Work independently though being a team player.

    Experience:

    • Experience in the motor or vehicle assembly industry - 3 years.

    Welder (Olifantsfontein)

    Description

    • Reviewing the actual specifications before welding.
    • Assist in all functions dummy jig, locker boxes, battery box and mounting brackets.
    • Alignment in terms of the tools that will be used.
    • Fit and weld all necessary parts.
    • Plan layouts before the process takes place.
    • Assemble under frame front & weld.
    • Test & check welded surfaces.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Grade: 12 Matric Certificate.
    • N1 and above (required subjects: Maths, Engineering Science, Diesel Trade Theory).
    • Certificate in Welding / relevant.

    Spray Painter (Olifantsfontein)

    Description

    • Apply paint at the main body of the vehicle.
    • Work with tack wipe.
    • Perform touch ups & repairs on vehicles.
    • Responsible for stripes and black spray.
    • Responsible for proper colour coordination of paint.
    • Monitor spraying tools.
    • Prepare surfaces before the actual spraying process.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Grade: 12 Matric Certificate.
    • Certificate in spray painting/equivalent.

    Skills:

    • Attention to detail.
    • Professionalism.
    • Flexible, active and forward thinking.
    • Good communication (oral and written) & interpersonal relations skills.

    • Must have a good grasp of spraying machines.
