    Creditors Clerk - East London (51902)

    Job Description

    • A beverage manufacture and distributor in South Africa, has a permanent employment opportunity for an experienced Creditors Clerk, based in East London, Eastern Cape.
    • They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Creditors Clerk to join our finance team.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier accounts, processing invoices, and ensuring accurate creditor transactions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims accurately and efficiently
    • Verify and reconcile invoices against purchase orders and delivery receipts
    • Verify and reconcile invoices against transporters'pods
    • Prepare and execute payments to suppliers within agreed terms
    • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions
    • Respond to supplier enquiries and resolve payment discrepancies or issues
    • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
    • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
    • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
    • Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks as required
    • Complete credit applications
    • File and maintain proper documentation for audit purposes

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Diploma or certificate in accounting, finance, or related qualification
    • 2-3 years' experience in a full-function creditors/accounts payable role
    • Prior experience in an FMCG environment will be advantageous
    • Experience with ERP systems
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office

    Distribution Centre Supervisor - Inbound - East London (51901)

    Job Description

    • A beverage manufacture and distributor in South Africa, has a permanent employment opportunity for an experienced Distribution Centre Supervisor (Inbound), based in East London, Eastern Cape.
    • They are seeking an experienced Inbound Distribution Centre Supervisor to lead our receiving and inbound operations while ensuring strict compliance with Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000) standards.

    Purpose of this role

    • To ensure efficient receiving, processing and storage of finished products while maintaining accuracy and safety standards, within the inbound department.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage daily workflow to ensure efficient receiving, processing and storage of incoming finished goods
    • Monitor and optimize receiving dock utilisation and labour allocation
    • Ensure strict adherence to FSSC 22000 requirements and company food safety policies
    • Conduct regular inspections of incoming products for quality and packaging integrity
    • Document and report any food safety incidents or non-conformances
    • Support internal and external food safety audits
    • Coordinate with production and factory warehouse managers to ensure timely receipt of finished goods
    • Liaise with the outbound distribution centre manager to ensure smooth workflow of finished goods to meet all external customer needs
    • Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies and damaged goods
    • Maintain accurate records for traceability and regulatory compliance
    • Implement corrective and preventive actions as needed
    • Ensure that staff adhere to company policies and procedure and all standard operating procedures
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching to reporting staff
    • Ensure proper training on food safety protocols and equipment operation
    • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
    • Manage staffing schedules and overtime allocation
    • Adhere and maintain housekeeping standards

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience in FMCG distribution environment
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Valid driver's license
    • Background in FSSC 22000 implementation and maintenance will be advantageous
    • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control will be advantageous
    • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and warehouse best practices
    • Valid Forklift and Reach truck certification will be advantageous
