• Our Talent Team is on the hunt for a Risk Control Officer for the Baking Division. The role will be based in Durban and will report into the Risk Control Manager.
• The Risk Officer is responsible for overseeing the adequacy and overall effectiveness of Safety, Health, Environmental (including sustainability) and Risk, and its implementation, identification of strategy and operations. Implementing and monitoring the process of Safety, Health, Environment (Including Sustainability) and Risk Management and integrating it, into the daily activities within the business units. Ensure the adherence to the Safety, Health, Environmental and Risk compliance process. Protect the Business units against uncertainties that could threaten the achievement of business objectives. Offer guidance and support to risk controllers.

Minimum Requirements    

• Must have a National Diploma in Safety Management or Equivalent (or studying towards).
• Minimum 2 experience in a Production/Manufacturing/Construction/Mining Environment.
• SAMTRAC certification required.
• Environmental Certificate required.
• Incident Investigation required.
• HIRA Certification required.
• Auditing Certification required.
• ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Awareness/Implementation/Auditing required.

Knowledge:

• Comprehensive knowledge of OHS Act 85 of 1993.

Duties & Responsibilities    
Span of Control:

• Monitors safety and environmental issues, provides training, investigates incidents and accidents, acts as a resident expert on related matters and makes recommendations to improve safety in the workplace.
• The position requires the ability to cope with changing circumstances and situations with little supervision.
• Interact with operational personnel, departmental managers and Bakery Managers.
• Foster positive relationships with regulatory authorities (Department of Labour, SAPS, PSIRA, Metro Police, Fire Department).
• Work proactively with Management to establish and maintain a programme of continual improvement in the management of Safety and Environmental programmes.
• Provide clear leadership for the development of a safe environment .
• Ensure that the safety and environmental programmes (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001) are carried out efficiently throughout the Bakery & Depots.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
• Provide regular reports to management of the systems implemented.
• Keep abreast of legislated changes and best practice methods and implement them at the Bakery.
• Drawing up of Policies/Procedures (Including Safe Operating Procedures).
• Tracking Motor Vehicle Accidents and ensure that disciplinary action is taken against offenders.
• Ensure that management act on the recommendations.
• Assume other duties that may be assigned.
• Assist in budget planning and control.
• Use of trend analysis to identify system deficiencies and incident trends, outline relevant improvements.
• Chair monthly SHER Meetings.
• Compile a monthly scorecard and ensure scorecard activities are completed when they are due.
• Update monthly reports by their due dates.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure control measures are implemented.
• Drive HIRA on site.
• Ensure robberies are investigated.
• Reporting of injuries to the DoL for all section 24 incidents.
• Implement and maintain the ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 systems and it’s related requirements.

Audits/Surveys:

• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance.
• Participate in all external audits.
• Ensure surveys and assessments are conducted as per legislation and within the necessary time frame.
• Address corrective actions and gaps identified where necessary.

Training:

• Identify employee training needs in relation to Health/Safety and Environmental.
• Plan and ensure training is done as and when legislation requires.
• Develop controls to ensure that training is conducted continuously.
• Update and maintain related training matrix.

Reporting:

• Development of reports in relation to health, safety, environmental and risk issues and communicate to decision makers.
• Combine DIFR stats for monthly reports.
• Sustainable development.
• Analyse data for trends.
• Receive reports and respond to orders issued by DoL.
• Act as liaison with all related regulating agencies.

Job Description    

• RCL FOODS is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to join our Groceries Division. The role will be based in Randfontein and report to the Engineering Manager. RCL FOODS is looking for an experienced Refrigeration Technician to perform skilled maintenance, installation, repair, and inspection work on complex refrigeration equipment.

Minimum Requirements    

• Category B8-specialist Ammonia (R717) refrigeration practitioner
• Valid Gas license obtained from  SAQCC
• At least 5years experience working in Ammonia plants after First Gas License was obtained. 
• Must be a qualified artisan in either a Millwright, Electrician or a Refrigeration Technician.  
• Must be willing to do standby.
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
• Must assist in other departments as time allows.
• Must be willing to work shifts.
• Needs to relocate to be available in case of emergency.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Planning of work according to the maintenance plan and schedule and per breakdown.
• Maintenance and repair of all site-related equipment in accordance with the maintenance plan and schedule.
• Render assistance to handymen on faults that cannot be solved on their level of required competence.
• Daily inspection of all work completed on-site including site facilities and buildings.
• Management, training, and development of maintenance handyman and technical assistant.
• The discipline of maintenance handyman and technical assistant under direct control.
• Issue daily job cards and inspect work executed.
• Perform standby duties.
• Experience in piston ammonia compressors overhaul, strip, assemble, pump downs, oil changes etc.
• Experience with screw air compressors( Atlas Copco employees can be advantageous)
• Experience with bottle molding equipment and blow molding preference.
• General electrical and mechanical experience.
• Air-conditioning/ refrigeration and chiller experience.
• Working on cooling towers and circulation pumps.
• Heat exchangers Plate and shell and tube.
• Copper to copper soldering pipe systems and general refrigeration maintenance and installation experience
• Ability to assist at other sites when required.

• The Forklift Driver will be responsible for loading and off loading of pallets.

• RCL FOODS is on the hunt for experienced Channel Representative for their Baking Division to address operational needs of customers and to monitor, as well as to ensure improved route optimisation and driver efficiency.
• The roles will report into the Regional Sales Manager and will be based in Vryburg, North-West.

Minimum Requirements

• Own realiable vehicle

Duties & Responsibilities    
Ensure efficient and cost-effective product distribution

• Ensure driver teams deliver according to mapped and optimised routes
• Ensure all new and old customers are plotted on the GPS system
• Ensure orders are geared towards improving truck utilisation and loaves/km
• Ensure delivery teams invoices correspond with loading list before vehicle leaves bakery

Ensure balancing of orders placed, delivered and returned

• Monitor driver orders for informal trade customers daily 
• Monitor and track returns daily 
• Craft and action plans to drastically improve return

Submit sales figures from drivers daily

• Ensure driver teams’ sales are in line with sales targets
• Source and distribute of key trade intelligence

Ensure the capturing and allocation of all customer details
