    About The Role
    We are looking for a Process Engineer to provide metallurgical support to the production group, optimize process efficiencies, ensure effective metallurgical accounting, provide innovative process solutions and lead the metallurgical team.
    Reporting to the Specialist Metallurgy, you will be

    • Analyze plant and process efficiencies via investigations, continuous data analysis and trend reviews to ensure optimization.
    • Solve to identify whether the root of grade discrepancies are metallurgical, operational or maintenance-related and ensure that the vital action is taken and / or setting adjustments made.
    • Supervise the quality of the products by ensuring that samples are taken according to procedure and that trends are analyzed to scrutinize grade consistency
    • Provide solutions to process / metallurgical problems and ensure effective support from Process Metallurgy.
    • Evaluate process performance, identify development opportunities.
    • Investigate possible new technologies to ensure process improvements.
    • Perform fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment, at the discretion of the supervisor.

    About You
    To be successfully considered for this role, you will have

    • Strong focus on health, safety and environment; an ability to lead by example
    • Relevant Degree in Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering, or similar
    • 5 Years associated experience in heavy industry or mining (mineral separation, equipment and processes).
    • Detailed knowledge of Metallurgical equipment.
    • EB Drivers License
    • Sophisticated knowledge of MS Office is crucial.
    • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
    • Well-developed communication and presentation skills.
    • Financial acuity.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Lateral thinking and problem solving skills

    About The Role
    We are looking for a Specialist Metallurgy to provide metallurgical support to the production group, optimize process efficiencies, ensure effective metallurgical accounting, provide innovative process solutions and lead the metallurgical team.
    Reporting to the Manager Development Metallurgy, you will be

    • Analyze plant and process efficiencies via investigations, continuous data analysis and trend reviews to ensure optimization.
    • Identify and supervise potential problems and ensure metallurgical equipment integrity is maintained to prevent unplanned events and losses.
    • Provide solutions to process / metallurgical problems and ensure effective support from Process Metallurgy.
    • Evaluate process performance, identify development opportunities and drive business excellence by supporting Six Sigma initiatives and all other continuous improvement projects.
    • Investigate possible new technologies to ensure process improvements.
    • Supervise and control the activities, standards of performance and behaviour of designated subordinate staff.
    • Ensure training, development and succession of designated subordinate staff within section.
    • Ensure effective risk management by identifying hazardous activities and mitigation measures on a continuous basis and by conducting risk assessments.
