    SHE Chief Safety Officer

    Purpose of Job

    • To plan, synchronise and sustain inspectitions, assessments, and take the right action to maintain safety and health in the working environment.
    • To execute the legal duties of a Chief Safety Officer as specified in the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) under Section 2.17.4.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Overall accountability for implementation of SHE strategy to strive towards best in class safety performance and continuous improvement of key safety metrics to maintain license to operate.
    • Coordinate all site safety needs and activities including advising management on safety issues.
    • Determine and compile site wide safety audit trends, analyze injury and incident patters, propose preventative actions and track outstanding activities
    • Facilitate accident and incident investigations, conducting root cause analyses and implementing action plans to control SHE risk.
    • Maintain administrative SHE database, PTOs, plan and conduct annual SHE management review, providing reports to management and all stakeholders (DMR, GM, etc.).
    • Ensure that all activities are carried out in adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards and do not compromise mine workers health and safety.
    • Enforce compliance with standards and practices in line with business requirements within the Mining operational environment.
    • Demonstrate a high-level awareness of existing laws and regulations to determine the impact on mining projects.
    • Execute SHE strategy to achieve zero harm and suggest continuous improvement initiatives to leverage key safety metrics and to maintain licenses to operate.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to enable the achievement of the BUs mine projects objectives.
    • Continuously improve own skills and knowledge.
    • Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals.

    Manager Financial Accounting SSA

    Purpose of Job

    • Manage the SSA, Sasol Khanyisa and Sasol Foundation financial accounting activities according to IFRS and SEC requirements. Direct financial reporting and disclosure and the preparation of financial statements and monitor overall compliance.
    • Ensure that sound financial management and reporting practices are defined, implemented and applied. Ensure effective, accurate and timely consolidated reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Maintain sound Statutory Reporting environment.
    • Provide insights into the businesses of SSA, Sasol Khanyisa and Sasol Foundation through financial board reporting to the various Governance Committees, Audit Committees and Boards.
    • Support the SA Integrated Value Chain (IVC) impairment process by managing the end-to-end process, including support to business units across the value chain.

    Key Accountabilities

    SSA:

    • Plan, monitor and co-ordinate month-end, the Statutory Reporting and financial compliance processes.
    • Manage preparation and submission of monthly, half year-end and year-end actual results, as well as forecast and budget information on OneStream.
    • Manage preparation and submission of monthly GL reconciliations for all trial balances.
    • Maintain the SSA Company and SSA Group alternate structures in OneStream.
    • Oversee all reporting in the SSA Corporate pack and oversee the aggregation and tax calculation sign off for the SSA_Co aggregation.
    • Perform full financial function for SSA Corporate and Khanyisa entities i.e. taxes, payments, ERP record keeping, dividend payments and cash flow management.
    • Plan, monitor and co-ordinate the SSA company and SSA group's impairment processes.
    • Maintain the SSA company and SSA group’s financial results, incorporating legal entity adjustments (not pertaining to the Sasol group, e.g. impairments, ECL on inter-company accounts, etc.) for reporting purposes.
    • Sasol Khanyisa and Sasol Foundation reporting, board and committee responsibilities.
    • Manage group capitalisation process as it pertains to SSA (e.g. SSA dividend computations and resolutions).
    • Onestream reporting for year end, half year end, month end, budget and forecast for SSA_Corporate, SSA_holdaj, Inzalo Investments, Sizanani Trust, Sasol Foundation, SSA_Co aggregation and the SSA Company and SSA Group alternate structures.
    • Ensure sound internal control over financial reporting and compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX).
    • Manage engagement with all stakeholders, including business management, internal and external auditors.
    • Oversee timely and accurate preparation of standalone financial statements and review same (SSA Company, SSA Group, 3 Khanyisa entities, Sasol Inzalo Investments, Sasol Foundation and Sizanani Trust).
    • Oversee the preparation of financial submissions to the Governance committee and Board and review same.
    • Stay abreast of the latest developments in IFRS to ensure accurate reporting.
    • Enable the identification of significant accounting issues and guide personnel in addressing them.
    • Guide the development of accounting positions, based on solid knowledge of IFRS, to be presented and discussed with the Reporting Practices Committee as well as with management and external audit.
    • Prepare and review RPC submissions.
    • Provide financial accounting expertise to assist operational and strategic decision making.
    • Propose changes and/or improvement initiatives to the accounting and reporting systems.
    • Oversee the process to ensure timely and accurate tax filings and reporting.
    • Lead and motivate a staff of accounting professionals, assign tasks based on business requirements and individual expertise, and monitor performance.
    • Direct the activities of financial staff and other departments to accomplish timely and satisfactory completion of financial period closures.

    IVC process:

    • Facilitate the coordination of the IVC process, ensuring timely execution by OMEs.
    • Independent review of OME inputs, ensuring alignment to budget and key assumptions, and execution of streamlined Corporate Asset process for half-year end.
    • Coordinate, compile, and analyze inputs for long-term topside adjustments, including input into OneStream.
    • Provide OneStream user support to the broader IVC teams.

    Formal Education

    • Minimum 4-Year Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the financial field.
    • Preferable: Post-graduate degree in finance.

    Working Experience

    • 9 years of relevant experience

    Customer Service Representative Solvents, Phenolics and Min Chem

    Purpose of Job

    • Guide and help customers with requests, orders, and complaints.
    • Process customer orders accurately and within agreed timelines.
    • Timeous resolution of customer enquiries, customer communication on orders and deliveries.

    Analyst - Renewable Energy Resources

    Purpose of Job
    With particular focus on sourcing of electrons through own-build projects and/or from external suppliers (e.g. via Power Purchase Agreements) the incumbent will be responsible for:

    • Evaluating the own-build projects business cases;
    • Managing supply market engagement processes;
    • Evaluating 3rd party and external suppliers’ opportunities;
    • Internal and external stakeholders management;
    • Projects risks structured mitigation processes; and

    • The role represents the “heart” of renewable energy production planning and execution with direct impact on strategic imperatives, including, emissions reduction roadmap (ERR); renewable projects developments and acquisitions, renewable energy procurement and trading market penetration. The sourcing and marketing teams will rely on this analysis for contracting and market entry. 
    • The incumbent will work with peers in the RE value chain within the Integrated Power Business, and support in the development of forward‑looking market insights, support commercial decision‑making, and build organisational readiness for competitive market participation.
    • Positioned at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and execution, the role offers deep exposure to electricity market fundamentals and the opportunity to grow into a key contributor within a transitioning and increasingly dynamic power market. The ideal candidate will thus support the execution of business strategy formulation and planning through the provision of data, identification of opportunities for business optimisation and measurement of performance of the business against the business plans to ensure effective realisation of business optimisation.
    • This role requires the incumbent to have good knowledge of the electricity market, have analytic expertise, business acumen, and the ability to work in ambiguous and evolving environments.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Market intelligence through the understanding of electricity regulatory landscape and electricity market dynamics.
    • Analysis and evaluation of project, technical, financial and general operating information to identify trends, valuable projects and opportunities.

    Condition Monitoring Superintendent

    Purpose of Job

    • The purpose of this role is to lead and manage all activities within the Condition monitoring team to maintain and execute a Predictive and Proactive maintenance program in line with the Engineering strategy for the Mine or Plant to determine the health status of machinery/equipment and to identify deviations and implement corrective actions.
    • Provide technical expertise and competency supporting the Engineering strategy to ensure best practices, continuous improvement, integrity, reliability of Machinery equipment at the lowest life cycle cost.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Establish a Predictive Maintenance Program to assess machinery/equipment's condition and identify deviations. Consolidate programmes of the various sites and ensure compliance.
    • Manage all the applicable Sasol Mining Condition Monitoring technique programmes (Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasound), across the complex in terms of adherence and standards setting. Instrumental in driving the Total Fluid Management (TFM) process.
    • Manage condition monitoring projects to ensure effectiveness of the Condition monitoring department. Positively influence the Condition Monitoring Workgroup and drive Standardisation committee engagement sessions to ensure standardisation across the complex in terms of processes, techniques applied, instruments utilised, database set-ups and reporting.
    • Involvement in the sub-assembly management process. Assist relevant role-players with root cause failure information and analysis to determine failure modes and t prevent future failures.
    • Manage Condition Monitoring Specialists and Operators. Facilitate training on all Condition Monitoring techniques for maintenance personnel. Manage the standardisation of a data-based setup and equipment standards by ensuring a uniform quality control system.
    • Engage with Engineering personnel to discuss deviations and ensure implementation of corrective actions and best practices, involvement in the Defect elimination process. Ensure proper governance, compliance and risk management through defined discipline specific standards and best practices.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with Engineers to enable full visibility on improvement opportunities. Coach and guide Engineers, setting competence criteria for Condition Monitoring, aligned with Central governance.
    • Implement solutions based on cost effective principles.
    • Ensure safe working practices to prevent injury or incidents by following SOP's. Apply evidence based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations.
    • Enable continuous improvement and knowledge transfer through strategically influencing direction and keeping up to date with technical developments in area. Assess technical work of peers and consultants, conduct frequent audits, and ensure loop closure on deviations. Use expert knowledge, attention to detail and team dynamics to solve complex technical problems.
    • Establish a network of internal and external experts to engage, discuss to provide input and make decisions pertaining to the Condition Monitoring strategies. Provide consultation to individuals and project teams on matters in his/her area of expertise and sharing expert knowledge in own team and at all other levels.
    • Manage stakeholder relationships and contracts by building effective working relationships with Managers, Peers, Team members, Customers and Suppliers.

    Formal Education
