    Recruiter

    Job Description

    • The Recruiter is responsible for meeting the study recruitment and retention targets by mapping the catchment areas, identifying potential participants, developing recruitment and retention plans, implementing the plans and providing regular feedback on the progress made.

    JOB SPECIFICATION

    Your primary role will be to participate in:

    Participant recruitment and enrolment

    • Recruit potential participants for the study
    • Ensure that potential participants are provided with all the study details as described in the Participant Information Sheet
    • Administer informed consent
    • Recruit and schedule appointments for study participants
    • Assist study coordinator to plan recruitment schedules
    • Conducting enrolment activities

    Research related activities

    • Being responsible for the proper documentation of all study activities
    • Administer data collection instruments as required using RedCap
    • Collect biological specimens (sputum, hair)
    • Reimbursing participants and ensure the reimbursement log is completed
    • Collect adherence data from electronic data monitoring devices
    • Perform quality checks on collected data.
    • Data query resolution
    • Complete any other activities as required by the protocol or the study.
    • Complete, compile and submit study case report forms (CRFs) and source documents timeously
    • Ensure all records on participants are completed and accurately filed with strict adherence to documentation handling procedures
    • Maintain accurate study logs related to enrolment, biological specimens and other study activities.
    • Manage stock keeping of project supplies
    • Report on daily/weekly activities to the coordinator and meet stipulated enrolment and follow-up targets

    Participant retention

    You will also be required to retain participants by;

    • Obtaining, verifying and updating detailed locator data from participant for all visits.
    • If possible, reminding participants about their appointments just prior to each visit
    • Following up on participants to ensure study completion
    • Recommending retention strategies to study management

    General administration

    You will be required to;

    • Prepare participant files and documents.
    • Safe storage and transportation of complete study documents and specimens
    • Attend study meetings to report on study progress
    • Other duties as assigned

    Knowledge of:

    • Microsoft Office
    • Research methods
    • GCP training

    Job Requirements
    Qualification

    • Grade 12

    Advantageous

    • Relevant Diploma or Bachelor’s degree
    • HIV/TB Certificate
    • Experience with RedCap data capturing
    • Experience working with staff in public healthcare facilities

    Work Experience

    • Minimum 1 year experience in similar role
    • Experience in collecting qualitative and quantitative data
    • Experiencing in data entry
    • Experience in HIV/TB prevention, treatment and care

    Other Requirements

    • Willingness to travel

    Skills required

    • Good communication skills. 
    • Ability to solve practical problems.
    • Good management and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in written and spoken English and fluency in local languages
    • Ability to work independently and in a team.
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Ability to follow deadlines, accuracy, documentation, and attention to detail.
    • Intermediate computer skills: including electronic mail, databases, MS Word, Excel, Windows-based programmes
    • Knowledge of participant recruitment and retention strategies

    Enrolled Nurse: Bojanala

    • The Enrolled Nurse provides experienced and efficient clinical services under the supervision of a Professional Nurse while ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations. The role involves patient care, research support, and clinical procedure management.

    Primary Work Objectives and Functions

    • Assist in providing comprehensive, safe, and effective evidence-based clinical procedures.
    • Perform all assigned clinical duties in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
    • Frequent monitoring and reporting on patient progress and study implementation.
    • Ensure all patient rights are upheld, with cultural sensitivity maintained.

    Job Requirements
    Education

    • Nursing Degree/Diploma/ Certificate
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council
    • Good Clinical Practice Certificate
    • HIV/AIDS Counselling and Management Certificate

    Experience

    • Minimum of 2 years’ related experience and/or training
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in clinical or public health research
    • Extensive counselling experience

    Advantageous

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HIV/AIDS and TB-related accountabilities

    Intern

    Job Description

    • The IT Intern is responsible for providing technical and analytical support to department activities which help inform data-drive decision making and information management. The intern will assist in research emerging AI technologies within the health sector, analysing organisation data and assist in developing AI use cases. In addition, support the department in preparing report and presentations.  This role requires the ability to bridge technical expertise with business strategy while engaging in ongoing professional development in AI and information management.

    Primary Work Objectives and Functions

    • Support the team in implementing departmental related projects and activities.
    • Research and evaluate emerging information technologies, tools and industry best practices.
    • Identify IT and AI use and business cases for potential implementation.
    • Attend and participate in meetings, training sessions, and departmental initiatives.
    • Maintain confidentiality and adherence to company policies.

    Job Requirements
    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or related filed (essential).

    Advantageous

    • Specialised coursework or certification in AI/ Machine Learning.
    • Good understanding of programming languages and AI / Machine Learning frameworks.
    • Driving licence.

    Experience

    • At least 0 – 1 years’ work experience working in IT, data analysis, AI/ Machine learning projects or any other relevant role.
