    Logistics Controller

    Responsibilities
    Outbound

    • Supervise and coordinate the loading of vehicles to meet delivery requirements
    • Review Open Orders Book daily
    • Liaise with LCT Planner on the plan for the next day and confirm stocks.
    • Ensure FIFO is practiced to prevent write offs in the Warehouse.
    • Ensure that collecting Customers follow the Collection SOP at all time.

    Inbound

    • Ensure that all inbound stock is inspected upon receiving for visible damage, Expiry dates, Condition of the product.
    • Ensure all stock received is Good Receipted Correctly and within 3 working days on Oracle
    • Ensure In transit reports are run timeously and cleared.

    Expenses

    • Ensure all our expenses are within Budget
    • Manage outsourced 3PL service providers .
    • Ensure timely processing of POs and receipting
    • Overtime Management.
    • Staff Management.

    Inventory

    • Manage stock counts accuracy to 99.5%.
    • Oversee daily, weekly and monthly stocktaking and inline with SOP.
    • Ensure all stock movements to damages is done timeously to avoid stock losses.
    • Manage FIFO Principles.
    • Daily stock recons

    Compliance

    • Ensure that the company Food Safety and Hygiene programs is adhered to
    • Ensure all safety rules and regulations (legal requirements) are complied with at all times.
    • Responsible for the development and training of all employees in the distribution department and ensure that the training requirements are budgeted for.

    Key Professional Competencies

    Core knowledge  

    • Supply Chain KPI’s, Logistics Administration & Operational requirements in an FMCG Company. Food Safety and HACCP Requirements.

    Key foundational competencies

    • Academic – Diploma in Logistics/ Supply Chain, Computer Literacy, Flair for Figures , Problem solving, Decision making, Good Communication skills.
    • Leadership – Influencing others, driving long-term results, developing myself & others, staying a step-ahead, managing change.
    • Personal Effectiveness – Effective communication, Interpersonal skills, Integrity, Creativity, Continuous Learning, Attention to detail

    Experience

    • Function –3+ Years experience in Logistics, Warehouse stock management with customer experience in retail & wholesale.

    Electrician: Culinary

    Job Description
    THE JOB AT A GLANCE

    • Electrician is required to install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. Read technical diagrams and blueprints. Perform general electrical maintenance.

    Responsibilities
    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Compilation and updating of equipment registers (safety)
    • To ensure that machinery used in the unit is maintained, set correctly and free of safety hazards
    • Input and print job cards and stores requisitions on the planned maintenance system
    • Provide technical support to machine operators
    • Conduct routine maintenance and maintenance inspections
    • Applying pro-active preventative maintenance principles
    • Maximize performance on all equipment
    • Complete job cards, log books and inspection reports
    • Compile electrical schedules for the plant
    • Exposure to PLC’s. preferably Siemens S7
    • Exposure to AC drives and sequential control systems

    Qualifications
    WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

    • Computer literacy and exposure to Computer Maintenance management System preferably DMS
    • Interpersonal relationship skills
    • Team player within multi-functional team
    • Call out and standby responsibilities, including overtime work as required
    • Situational problem solving abilities
    • Pro-active and driven by sustainable solutions
    • Strong logical/diagnostic approach to troubleshooting
    • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
    • Instrumentation/Pneumatic experience is a requirement
    • Willing to work on a shift basis

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • Qualified, trade tested artisan
    • Minimum N3 technical qualification
    • 5-10 years electrical experience in a manufacturing environment (FMCG will be an advantage)

    Maintenance Manager (Bakeries)

    Job Description
    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

    • Ensures that the plant is mechanically operational at all times

    Responsibilities
    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    Maintenance Scheduling

    • Do planned maintenance scheduling, update schedules and sign off on completed schedules
    • Conduct plant inspections, and issue unplanned maintenance schedules
    • Issue job cards and maintenance schedules.
    • Approval of all engineering spares, within budget
    • Ensure quality maintenance is done on maintenance day. 

    CAPEX budgets

    • Understand the plant needs and do CAPEX budget planning (5 year plan)
    • Complete and submit CPAEX motivations as per Tiger requirements

    People Management

    • Promote a high performance culture.
    • Engage regularly with employees through invocoms, union engagements.
    • Identify and develop Talent and competency gap closing actions.
    • Ensure training is undertaken as per PDP’s
    • Ensure workplace discipline and manage ER issues in line with Tiger Brands policies and procedures.

    Health, Safety and Environment

    • Ensure and maintain safe working conditions for employees and equipment based on risk assessments and compliance with OHSAct.
    • Instill an environmentally conscious mindset within the manufacturing environment (H2O, noise pollution, utilities, landfill)

    Audits

    • Engineering audit
    • Risk audit
    • Environmental audit (ISO 14001)
    • DQS audit
    • BMR audit

    Finance

    • Understand cost drivers
    • Develop cost saving strategies
    • Understand Cost Per Loaf (CPL), difference between budget and actual, and develop plan of action to recover
    • Manage stock movement procedure, book out spares on job cards only, conduct stock takes.
    • Accurate and timely reporting (Supply Chain, environmental, scorecard)

    Instrument calibrations

    • Electrical and mechanical operation
    • Ensure specialised equipment is operating correctly (scaling weights, water and dough temperatures, mixer energy watt hour calibrations)
    • Ensure adherence to process SOP’s
    • DMS reporting – draw all reports for scorecards
    • Conduct root cause analysis for all breakdowns
    • Drive implementation of PM pillar of MECP
    • Drive LTIFR
    • SBO’s
    • Near misses

    Qualifications
    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within FMCG preferably Bakeries
    • Computer literate
    • CMS – experience of computerized maintenance systems
    • Understanding of practical implementation of OHSAct
    • Bakery process and equipment experience
    • Finance – budgeting and CAPEX planning
    • Continuous improvement
    • Environmental knowledge

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of a Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical engineering 
    • Trade Test in electrical or mechanical engineering
