    Professional Nurse (Western Cape)

    Purpose of the Job 

    • The overall health & safety of the donor
    • Medically screen donors, accepts or defers resulting in the collection of safe blood
    • Ensuring professionalism and safe, hygienic conditions for performing successful blood collection
    • All medical related decisions

    Requirements

     Minimum Requirements 

    • Matric Certificate
    • Minimum of a Diploma in Nursing Science
    • Registered with the SA Nursing Council
    • Venepuncture/Phlebotomy experience is essential 
    • Previous Blood Transfusion experience would be an added advantage
    • Computer Literate
    • A code 8 driver’s license without endorsements will be an added advantage

    A combination of the following skills, knowledge and attributes is required:           

    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Have a friendly disposition and willingness to “go the extra mile”
    • Accuracy in data collection
    • Must be able to work as part of a team
    • Skilled in customer services and the ability to deal with the public
    • Previous supervisory skill would be an added advantage
    • The working hours are variable i.e. shift basis, including Weekends and public holidays

    Business Analyst (Pinelands)

    Purpose of the Job

    • The BA performs an intermediary role between IT and the business and gathers, interprets, analyses and documents business requirements, as well as identifies and fixes weaknesses in operational processes to enhance the safety of the blood supply in the province.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate, analyse and document current and future business processes
    • Explore ways IT can reduce business costs while improving the business environment
    • Ascertain and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
    • Manage and facilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions
    • Elicit, understand and document business/user problems & requirements
    • Help design scalable & flexible systems by studying business requirements & practices
    • Produce functional specification documentation & user stories
    • Participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement
    • Perform Solution Testing and implementation management

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements and Responsibilities

    • National Diploma / Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems
    • Diploma in Business Analysis
    • 5 years proven business analysis experience
    • Experience with BABOK
    • Experience working with a Systems Development Life Cycle and development team
    • Agile development methodology Experience (advantageous)
    • Excellent verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the organization, project & development teams

    Manager – L& Amp; D/SDF (Western Cape)

    Role Purpose

    • To align training strategies with organisational goals, ensuring compliance with HPCSA, SANAS, and HWSETA requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workforce capability and organisational performance.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a flexible training strategy aligned to organisational objectives.
    • Oversee SANAS and HPCSA audits to maintain accreditation.
    • Design, implement, and review training programmes for technical and non-technical staff.
    • Facilitate and assess theoretical and practical learning for learners, interns, and registrars.
    • Liaise with educational institutions for learner registration, assessments, and compliance.
    • Ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
    • Implement and monitor Continuous Improvement (CI) modules and training.
    • Oversee performance management and professional development initiatives.
    • Conduct proficiency testing within the Technical Division.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements

    • National Diploma B-Tech in Biomedical Technology, OR Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc) degree (Immunohaematology)
    • Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in Immunohaematology.
    • Registered with the HPCSA
    • A Code 8 driver’s licence without endorsements.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and drive a learning culture.
    • Facilitation and presentation skills and/or previous experience in a training environment would be an advantage.
