    Counter Sales (Ballito)

    Description

    • ACDC Dynamics, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Counter Salesman to join our team. This position is based at our retail store in Ballito and plays a crucial role in providing excellent service and support to our customers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products based on their needs.
    • Demonstrate excellent product knowledge to inform customers and enhance sales opportunities.
    • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
    • Follow up diligently on orders to prevent delays and ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive counter area.
    • Ensure all customers leave the store satisfied with their purchases and overall experience.

    Inventory Data Analyst (Longmeadow)

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

    • The Inventory Data Analyst plays a key role in optimizing operations by analyzing data, processes, and material flows to identify areas for improvement.
    • This position is responsible for implementing changes, developing business cases, and ensuring long-term success through effective change management.
    • Working closely with cross-functional teams, the role also focuses on standardizing best practices, fostering innovation, and leading sustainability initiatives.
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution, to ensure the timely delivery of electrical products and components to customers and production facilities.
    • Coordinate transportation activities, including route planning, carrier selection, and freight management, to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods.
    • Negotiate contracts with transportation providers and monitor performance to meet service level agreements.
    • Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and order fulfillment, to maintain efficient inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
    • Implement best practices for inventory management, such as ABC analysis and cycle counting, to optimize inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.
    • Develop and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and traceability of inventory movements.
    • Implement inventory optimization techniques, such as safety stock management and just-in-time inventory, to minimize excess inventory and improve cash flow.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to transportation, warehousing, staffing and product handling.
    • Stay informed about changes in regulations and implement necessary measures to maintain compliance.
    • Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as transportation delays, supplier shortages, and quality issues, and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure continuity of operations.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations, such as on-time delivery, fill rate, and inventory accuracy, and implement corrective actions as needed to improve performance.
    • Prepare regular reports and presentations for management review.
    • Collaborate with internal departments, such as procurement, production, sales, and customer service, to coordinate logistics activities and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and transportation partners.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management, logistics; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
    • Proven experience (typically 5-7 years) in logistics management, preferably in the electrical industry or a related sector.
    • Strong understanding of logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
    • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to logistics and transportation.
    • Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives.

    Electrical Repairs Technician (ACDC Express - Somerset West) (Sommerset)

    Description

    • We are seeking an experienced repairs technician who will be responsible for repairing and testing all our electrical products. Incumbent will assist with fault-finding on equipment and ensure repairs are completed within the specified timeframe ensuring excellent customer service.

    Key Performance Arears

    • Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
    • Troubleshooting, repairing malfunctioning equipment: - Electronics, Inverters, UPS and AVR’s.
    • Report writing skills.
    • Handling customer technical enquiries.
    • Troubleshooting and repairs on customer products
    • Running back orders and ensuring repairs are conducted within specified turnaround time as per repair policy
    • Consistently perform in a manner that ensures deadlines are met for all repairs performed
    • Stock control within the workshop using hand tools and measuring equipment, oscilloscopes, multimeter etc.
    • Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
    • Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
    • Ordering of electrical supplies and equipment
    • Examining customers' appliances and identifying the cause of appliance breakdowns.
    • Performing maintenance work on customers' appliances.
    • Providing rough estimates to customers on how much it would cost to repair damaged or malfunctioning appliances.
    • Repairing or replacing defective or damaged appliance components upon approval from customers.
    • Advising customers on how to use appliances correctly.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 / Matric.
    • Trade Tested Electrician.
    • Valid South African Wireman's License.
    • 3–5 years' post-qualification electrical experience.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical installations, fault finding, and safety compliance.
    • Valid driver's licence (advantageous).
