    Stores Controller - Richards Bay

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric
    • Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics
    • SAP Experience
    • Procurement experience is advantageous

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the receipt and issue of goods and services;
    • Ensure items/goods received and issued are entered on SAP;
    • Monitor stock quantities, documentation and processing;
    • Ensure delivery of nitrogen is receipted;
    • Ensure Fuel levels on all sites are monitored;
    • Produce monthly reports and reconciliations for Fuel and nitrogen;
    • Inspect, Control & keep record of Stores Equipment;
    • Monitor stocks that have not been moving;
    • Maintain order and good housekeeping in the stores;
    • Conduct stock takes and cycle counts;
    • Compile monthly reports on stock usage

    Planning Supervisor - Richards Bay

    Minimum Requirements

    • Diploma in Logistics Management or related field
    • 3 years’ experience in logistics/ planning
    • Chemical, Gas or Petro-chemical experience
    • Experience in bulk liquid storage facility/terminal operations.
    • Supervisory experience
    • SAP experience

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Plan tank and related logistics, liaising with customers and suppliers.
    • Compile and communicate daily, weekly and monthly receipts and dispatches.
    • Schedule tank car availability & monitor turnaround times
    • Ensure that all orders from clients are accurately received and logged on the company internal systems.
    • Regularly communicate with customers regarding stock levels, dispatches and other issues
    • Co-ordinate and decide tank movement (tank farm planning)
    • Monitor daily/weekly/monthly work performance of Shift Planners, correct deviations.
    • Manage Planners attendance, timekeeping.
    • Prepare daily worksheet for Operations.
    • Prepare and provide vessel log sheets to operations department.
    • Confirm ship parcel sizes with surveyors and send figures to clients.
    • Arrange for faulty tank cars to be sent to the workshop and update respective customer.
    • Co-ordinate plant activities to coincide with ship arrivals.
    • Compile reports on each vessel`s first and last hose connection and record delays.
    • Capture vessel pump times after each vessel is completed.
    • Represent BTT at external customer meetings with surveyors and agents.
    • Confirm all decisions on parcels agreed with surveyors, customers.
    • Liaise with the Vessel Agents and Port Control regarding the berthing of vessels.
    • Liaise with customers regarding ship arrivals, cargoes, discharges, loading etc.
    • Liaise with relevant parties on transfers and other shipping matters.
    • Identify training needs on an on-going basis.
    • Maintain an optimal competent work team.
    • Present on-job coaching and training.

    SHE Officer - Richards Bay

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • SAMTRAC
    • National Diploma in Safety Management/ Environmental Science Management
    • 3 years’ experience in a similar role preferably within the Chemical and Petro-chemical industry

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Inspect all firefighting and suppression equipment to ensure compliance
    • Direct and participate in PIMAD (Fire evacuation drills)
    • Supervise and perform salvage and overhaul operations
    • Develop and present programs on fire safety and prevention topics
    • Participate in incident investigation and report on the cause of all incidents
    • Participate in the selection, training and motivation of assigned fire team members
    • Ensure that Safety, Risk and PPE assessments are conducted as and when required.
    • Conduct safety, health and environmental site audits
    • Monitor contractor safety performance and compile relevant reports  
    • Monitor compliance with regulations, permit conditions and BTT standards
    • Conduct regular inspections and ensure all non-conformances are corrected immediately
    • Monitor and measure environmental receptors and participate in permit application
    • Responsible for waste management
    • Ensure that environmental sampling is undertaken as required
    • Assist with the production of Permits to Work, Method Statements, Risk Assessments and hazard identification
    • Ensure that all SHE records for Richards Bay are properly managed on the relevant platforms
    • Guide Safety Representatives in carrying out their duties
