Job Description

This role will assist in the facilitation of all accounting functions for client groups and share accurate and timely information to the client, relevant personnel and management. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Client Servicing
• Assist with identifying solutions to financial challenges
• Journal Processing
• Accounts Payable Full Function
• Fixed Assets
• Vat Reconciliations
• Cashbook Full Function
• Payroll processing and reconciliations
• Providing financial information to the PM’s to inform client decisions
• Review all MTR’s, unbilled receivables, debtor’s collection, WIP, in a timeous manner
• Client profitability to be prepared and reviewed with PM’s
• Review contracts of all projects in line with regulations and company policy
• Reconciliations of all projects
• Preparing accurate information to shared services for billings and payments
• Provide accurate and quality customer service and information for all inquiries
• Provide timely response to all requests and inquiries
• Lead special projects utilizing PowerPoint/ Excel for presentations on financial data

Financial Management and Planning

• Assist with research of account discrepancies
• Ensure all financial information is accurate and timely
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
• Prepare journal entries monthly
• Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
• Ensure approval process of all account invoices is followed
• Ensure integrity of projects in the system. Weekly analysis with PM’s
• Ability to research financial issues

Requirements & qualifications;

• Four years’ experience in Finance and Accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and knowledge of financial systems
• Well organized with excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong problem solving, time management and management skills
• Attention to detail, juggle conflicting priorities and function well in a fast-paced environment

Job Description

This role will be responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

Responsibilities;

• Maintaining and updated general ledger while ensuring accurate and appropriate recording of information
• Sends invoices to clients and follows up on payments
• Management and daily reconciliation of petty cash
• Reconciles debtors and creditors statements for control purposes
• Ensures accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
• Assist in payment of statutory returns
• Prepares suppliers payments

Qualifications & Requirements;

• Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting – completed or studying towards it
• Knowledge of accounting applications such as Quickbooks, Sage, or Pastel as well as Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to details and accuracy
• Planning and Organising skills
• Analytical skills
• Knowledge of industry changes in regards to issues affecting accounting
• Ability to maintain confidential information
