    Pre - Primary Teacher

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Must have the ability to identify with the values and ethos of the school
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with parents, staff and most importantly with young children
    • Is motivated and uses initiative
    • Have a good command of the English Language (spoken and written)
    • Strong computer skills, both for administrative purposes and ICT in the classroom
    • Must have a warm and nurturing personality
    • Willing to participate in continuous staff development

    Desired experience and qualifications:

    • 4-Year qualification, with ECD specialisation
    • Proven Pre-Primary teaching experience
    • Valid SACE certification (minimum NQF level 6) and police clearance

    Duties and Responsiblities include but are not limited to:

    • Responsible for whole-child development of a class of Pre-Primary children
    • Planning and preparation in alignment with the School’s Curriculum
    • Comprehensive and continuous assessment and observation of each child’s development
    • Daily professional interaction with parents
    • Close teamwork and collegiality within the Grade

    Music Teacher

    Minimum Requirements

    • Appropriate professional qualification with specialization in Music: Bachelor of Music or a similar suitable qualification;
    • A professional teaching qualification (PGCE);
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience;
    • Proven music teaching experience in a primary school environment;
    • An interest in Greek culture would be advantageous;
    • Provide expert piano accompaniment for soloists and ensembles, supporting a diverse repertoire and performance contexts
    • Experience in a second instrument would be advantageous
    • Current and valid Registration with SACE and a valid police clearance;
    • A creative personality with strong interpersonal skills ;
    • A commitment to full participation in the extra-curricular activities of the school;
    • Teaching experience within the IEB system would be advantageous;
    • Must have the ability to identify with the values and ethos of the school.

    The duties and Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Prepare for, teach and assess beyond the requirements of the CAP’s Document and Requirements;
    • Create a classroom atmosphere conducive to healthy, connective and where possible cutting-edge teaching and learning;
    • Set, mark and evaluate class work, homework, assessments, examinations and provide regular and meaningful feedback to students/staff/parents;
    • Moderate formal assessments and research projects;
    • Monitor, and support pastoral care of pupils;
    • Engage and participate in the reflection and staff development process of the School.
