    D365 Senior Full Stack Developer

    What will you do?

    • The CRM Full Stack Developer (Senior) builds and delivers complex Microsoft Dynamics 365/Dataversesolutions and integrations across the SLS ecosystem, implementing secure, reliable, and maintainablecomponents across APIs, services, and platform extensions.
    • Ensure that all solutions adhere to engineering standards—including API design and versioning practices,integration patterns, architectural guardrails, and CI/CD pipeline quality gates—to ensure scalable, reliable,and maintainable releases across the broader product ecosystem.
    • Working under the technical direction of the Technical Lead, the role provides technical leadership on theselection and adoption of Azure integration services and platform capabilities, guiding decisions that balanceout-of-the-box D365 functionality with custom code and informed build versus buy tradeoffs.
    • This role servesto translate solution designs into high‑quality implementation, strengthens engineering discipline through codereviews and pairing, and improves operational resilience through testing, observability, and production‑gradeengineering practices.
    • Mentor engineers across squads, uplift engineering maturity, and steer design decisions that ensure long-termplatform sustainability, architectural coherence, and alignment to strategic product outcomes.

    Output/Core Tasks:

    Architecture & Governance

    • Implement the integration architecture for the product domain, covering synchronous and asynchronouspatterns, event-driven designs using Service Bus and      Event Grid, and API-first service boundaries.
    • Own the Azure API Management (APIM) topology including workspaces, gateways, routing, and reusablepolicies and govern the overall developer experience      for internal and external consumers.
    • Set and maintain organisation level REST API standards, including resource modelling conventions,versioning strategy, request/response validation, pagination,
    • and error semantics, and review pull requests to ensure consistent adherence.
    • Define and codify integration and orchestration patterns deciding when to apply Durable Functionorchestrations, Logic Apps, or C# service implementations
    • and establish guardrails that promote performance, maintainability, and scalability.
    • Engineer resilience patterns across distributed systems, including timeouts, retries, circuit breakers,idempotency, and downstream fault isolation; embeds
    • security principles such as least privilege access, token scopes, and compliance aligned logging.

    Release & Quality Leadership

    • Establish, formalise, and evolve quality gates across environments—including unit testing, contract testing,integration testing, performance smoke tests, and security checks—and ensure CI/CD pipelines enforce these consistently.
    • Drive SLO-aligned monitoring and observability practices, ensuring trace correlation across microservices,meaningful distributed logs, and actionable alerting that reduces noise and strengthens operational readiness.  
    •  Use telemetry insights to guide prioritization of technical debt, resiliency improvements, performance bottlenecks, and architectural risks that should be surfaced into the backlog.
    • Lead and facilitate incident reviews and root cause analyses, ensuring learnings translate into backlogimprovements, updated guardrails, and strengthened engineering practices.
    • Define multistage deployment flows (build → integration tests → staged deploys → approvals) and coach the team on shift left testing, automated quality feedback loops, and effective test data strategies.

    People Leadership & Ways of Working

    • Mentor and uplift developers through architectural guidance, pair design, code reviews, pattern libraries,and active coaching on engineering craft, cloud integration, and API-first design.
    • Partner closely with the Solution Architect to shape roadmaps, influence design decisions, align on platformevolution, and ensure architectural consistency across squads.
    • Collaborate with the Analytics Engineer/Data team to agree and maintain well-structured, versioned datacontracts and to ensure integrations meet analytical and reporting needs without compromising operational systems.
    • Ensure Testers/QA engineers have the hooks, fixtures, and environments required for end-to-endautomation, including mocks, stubs, and seeded test data aligned to realistic scenarios.
    • Promote positive engineering culture, cross team collaboration, and transparent governance, helping thesquad adopt modern engineering practices, continuous improvement mindsets, and a high-quality delivery rhythm.

    Experience and Qualifications

    Experience

    • 6–10+ years engineering with a recent focus on Azure integration for Dynamics 365; led cross teamdeliveries.
    • Set API and integration standards; governed APIM strategy; drove org-wide CI/CD and quality guardrails.
    • Proven record of improving resilience, performance, observability, and security in distributed systems.

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems (or equivalent).
    • Prefer Microsoft certification:: AZ204 (Azure Developer), Power Platform/D365 Fundamentals; learning pathin Azure DevOps CI/CD.
    • Power Platform ALM/Pipelines familiarity with solution promotion and environment governance. 
    • Advanced Azure credentials (architecture/integration) and demonstrated ALM governance across environments (Dev→Test→Prod).

    Field Service Engineer

    What will you do?

    • Responsible for performing onsite hardware, software and peripheral updates and repairs in an organisation.  Responsible for troubleshooting and repairs of computer systems and peripheral equipment located throughout the organisation.

    CRM Functional Consultant

    Job Purpose 

    • The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant is responsible for the functional integrity, configuration quality, and sustainable evolution of the Dynamics 365 platform within Sanlam.
    • Reporting to the Delivery Manager, this role ensures that business requirements are realised through standard Dynamics 365 capabilities first, with customisation introduced only where there are clear value and technical justification. They will also gather and document technical requirements for developers, support impact analysis for new features, and ensure ongoing platform evolution aligned with Microsoft’s release cycle. 
    • At Sanlam we position this role at the intersection of business analysis, functional design, and application configuration. Working in close partnership with the Product Owner, Technical Lead, and QA Lead, the Functional Consultant acts as the platform steward, translating business intent into scalable, supportable, and upgrade s afe Dynamics 365 solutions aligned to Microsoft best practices and release cycles. 

    Role Requirements: 

    Output/Core Tasks: 

    Dynamics 365 Functional Design & Configuration (Primary Accountability) 

    • Own the functional design and configuration of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, including entities, forms, views, business rules, workflows, SLAs/KPIs, queues, case management, and security roles.
    • Translate business requirements and “asis” processes into optimised “tobe” Dynamics 365 configurations, prioritising standard, out-of-the-box capabilities.
    • Design solutions that maximize outofthebox (OOB) capabilities and ensure customisations are minimal, scalable, and maintainable in collaboration with the Technical Lead and Solution Architects.
    • Ensure all configuration choices are scalable, maintainable, and upgrade-safe, avoiding unnecessary customisation and technical debt.
    • Act as the authoritative source for how Dynamics 365 is configured and intended to behave.

    Functional Analysis & Specification

    • Lead functional discovery and design workshops with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and delivery teams.
    • Translate business needs into Dynamics specific functional designs and specifications, including: 
    • functional behaviour
    • acceptance criteria
    • data and entity modelling
    • integration and interface requirements
    • Gather and document technical requirements for developers, ensuring clarity of intent without directing code implementation. Perform impact analysis for new features, configuration changes, dependencies, and Microsoft release wave updates.

    Delivery Collaboration & Execution (Peer Model)

    • Report to the Delivery Manager and operate as a peer to the Technical Lead and QA Lead within the delivery team.
    • Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery execution by ensuring configuration readiness and functional clarity.
    • Collaborate with developers to validate feasibility and correctness of solutions, without owning or directing custom code.
    • Partner with QA to ensure test scenarios, acceptance criteria, SIT, and UAT coverage accurately reflect configured Dynamics behaviour.
    • Support release readiness by confirming functional completeness and alignment to agreed business outcomes 

    Platform Stewardship, Alignment and Continuous Improvement

    • Own the functional integrity and sustainable use of the Dynamics 365 platform within SLS, ensuring consistent, correct, and upgrade‑safe configuration across implementations.
    • Ensure alignment to SGT Dynamics 365 platform standards and governance, acting as the primary functional interface between SLS delivery teams and the SGT platform team, and managing configuration exceptions through formal governance.
    • Drive a configuration‑first, custom‑last approach, making disciplined decisions on out‑of‑the‑box capabilities versus Power Platform or custom development to minimise complexity and technical debt.
    • Stay current with Microsoft Dynamics 365 release waves and roadmap changes, assessing impact on existing configurations and planned delivery.
    • Use platform data and telemetry to identify configuration‑led opportunities to simplify processes and reduce cost and complexity.
    • Drive improvements that enhance user and client experience while maintaining upgrade safety and platform sustainability.
    • Act as a trusted platform advisor and capability builder, promoting reuse, standardisation, and good governance while coaching teams and strengthening internal Dynamics 365 functional capability. 

    What will make you successful in this role?

    Experience 

    Essential:

    • 3–7+ years’ experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM / CE) in a functional consulting capacity.
    • Hands on expertise in configuring entities, forms, views, business rules, workflows, queues, cases, SLA/KPI settings, and security roles.
    • Experience performing end-to-end business analysis, requirements gathering, and translating requirements into functional/technical specifications.
    • Proven delivery within Agile environments.
    • Experience collaborating with software engineers during solution design, development, and testing.
    • Track record of successful D365 implementations or major enhancement projects.

    Advantageous

    • Exposure to the broader Microsoft ecosystem: Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Azure DevOps, Azure Logic Apps.
    • Experience in financial services, contact centre environments, CRM modernisation, or large enterprise landscapes.
    • Experience working with integration teams (APIs, middleware, service bus patterns).

    Qualifications

    Assist in growing the Sanlam Adviser Business

    • Be committed to the marketing plans and targets set for growing and developing the business as set forward by the distribution strategy.
    • Apply knowledge and understanding of market segmentation and customer profiles to support sales and growth within the defined market.

    Undertake relevant behaviours to attain targets relating to:

    • Revenue generation (Single and recurring premiums)
    • Activity quotas
    • Promote the Sanlam brand
    • Treating customers fairly to be applied to all client engagements
    • Role is aligned to your personal career aspirations

    Networking, prospecting and leads generation

    • Face to face interactions, social or business, to create business opportunities.
    • Prospecting of new clients through creative opportunities such as business/social networks, associations or ad hoc presentations.
    • Turning trusted relationships into business relationships.
    • Strengthening existing relationships by increasing the current service.
    • Use existing sources to establish opportunities across Sanlam businesses.
    • Personalised client value propositions.
    • Marketing on social media.
    • Undertake selected client focused activities to generate leads and informal prospecting opportunities.
    • Mining of existing client base to identify marketing gaps and sales opportunities within the middle-high and affluent market.
    • Structuring and implementing focused campaigns with new or existing clients in the defined market.
    • Requesting active and ongoing leads and referrals from others.
    • Monitoring and respond to client activities such as maturities, cancelations or surrenders within the defined market.

    Client consultations and sales

    • Ensure all client interactions are compliant in terms of disclosures and advice given (provide written/ electronic information required for compliance).
    • Undertake comprehensive fact finding with each client to lift needs and priorities. Document these findings.
    • Conduct a financial needs analysis, using the relevant e-tools / instruments or systems, to ascertain the clients full financial situation; or utilise the services of a Para-Planner for this. (Draw policy history).
    • Provide sound personal financial planning advice.
    • Apply financial knowledge in putting together a plan that meets the needs of the client for a balanced portfolio.
    • Present financial solutions to the client in a professional and competent manner aligned to Treating Customers Fairly.
    • Use relevant processes and system tools to capture analysis information and update records accordingly.
    • Review clients portfolio annually by undertaking the above steps.

    Client Service

    • Ensure all client interactions are ethical, courteous and professional.
    • Follow-up or refer all existing business queries to be resolved timeously through support.
    • Strive for excellent, value-added service to clients so that they do not seek competitor products or services.
    • Undertake continuous learning in terms of knowledge, skills and market/industry issues so as to service clients within the defined market.
    • Initiate long term client relationships and maintain a relational focus.

    Monitor, update and reporting (weekly/monthly)

    Document and present the following activities:

    • Number and profile of contacts, appointments, consultations.
    • Issued business and revenue against targets.
    • Update client details on records.
    • Appropriate workflow and activity monitor system entries.

    Qualification and Experience

    • Grade 12
    • Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) "Fit and Proper" requirements and Regulatory Examination successfully completed if registered with Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) for more than 24 months.
