Responsibilities:

• Analysis, design, development, testing, documentation and delivery of new or revised functionality in accordance with the SDLC.
• Participation in upgrade projects (new releases or support packages).
• Monitoring and analysis of system support calls/requests and issue management.
• Refinement of business systems solutions.
• Participating in implementation, system support, upgrades and rollout
• Training users how to use software effectively in their operations.
• Engagement with stakeholders on systems, processes and business requirements
• Support project deliverables and milestones for multiple projects

Requirements

Core Requirements:

• 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Information Systems/ Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum two (2) years relevant experience in a business system development and support environment. 

Advantageous:

• Bachelor’s Degree / BTech (NQF level 7) in Information Systems or Computer Science
• Experience in the public sector and/or research administration processes.
• Hands-on configuration experience of package or ERP systems
• Configuration skills and experience in Converis, Pentaho, or Web Development.
• Hands-on SQL and/or XML experience
• Familiarity with command line in Linux
• A sound knowledge of data migration/integration methods and tools
• Prior experience on a portal or web-based system implementation
• Understanding of object-oriented databases

Troubleshooting:

• Swiftly identify and resolve technical issues through systematic troubleshooting methods, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth system operation.

Disaster Recovery:

• Develop and implement robust disaster recovery plans to safeguard data integrity and system functionality in the face of unforeseen events, facilitating prompt and effective recovery processes.

Core Requirements:

• 3-year National Diploma/Degree in Information Technology or other relevant qualification
• 5+ years’ experience using C#, ASP.net, .net Core
• A valid driver’s license

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate technical operation of projects according to study protocols.
• Liaise with relevant provincial and district authorities, fieldworkers, facility managers, project manager and co-investigators to plan data collection.
• Management of equipment used during data collection at study site.
• Manage/supervise fieldworkers’ performance at study site including staff training.
• Organization and management of data, including data entry and record keeping.
• Monitor progress of research activities and generate regular and ad-hoc reports as required using excel and/or statistical analysis tools.
• Communicate the research outputs.
• Plan, coordinate and manage all logistics and operational aspects of the project and field sites.

Requirements

• Higher Certificate (NQF 5) in any health/social science or business administration.
• Fieldwork experience which includes home-based visitation.
• Valid driver’s license with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP), Category P (Passenger Transport).
• At least 1-year recent experience working on an environmental/public health project in research setting.
• Experience using REDCap.
• Experience in writing project reports.
• Willing and able to travel.

Advantageous:

• Experience with supply chain procedures.
