    Ops Spec:Network Security Engineer

    Core Description

    • Responsible for ensuring that quality standards are met through evaluating, implementing firewall requests and incidents for larger complex networks and communication systems that are in alignment with BCX’s standards, as well as supervising direct reports

    Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

    • Liaising with and advising the Client IT Manager or ISO on operational security matters. 
    • Managing mitigating actions associated with vulnerability assessments and/or audits. 
    • Implementation of a security control framework 
    • Act as a primary contact for security operations for a customer. 
    • Facilitate basic security investigations 
    • Guidance on global information security threat trends, new technology solutions and management responses

    Core Description

    • Responsible for maintaining, supporting, and developing client solutions.
    • This includes participating in requirements gathering, planning, and solution design; implementing robust solutions; managing daily operations; and driving service improvements and automation through Infrastructure as Code principles.

    Tech Officer: Jnr Customer Engineer (FS)

    Core Description

    • Provision of routine hardware service, or ‘remote’ diagnostic activities, under close supervision, ensuring achievement of contract service levels with the contracted clients.  

    Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

    • Continuously use appropriate operating systems, hardware, tools and/or paper documentation to maintain the configuration management system, including the configuration management database (CMDB) 
    • Successfully perform the full range of defined tasks associated with operating and controlling of installed hardware and software on a continual basis

    Driver

    Core Description

    • Responsible for driving a company vehicle to collect goods from suppliers and dispatching them to the relevant BCX Field Services departments.   

    Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

    • Receive instruction from the Fleet Specialist on the transportation requirements for the day and collect vehicle keys. 
    • Complete the pre and post trip checks to confirm the vehicle is in working order (i.e. check water, oil, tyre pressure and any vehicle damages) and update logbook details indicating the starting time, opening odometer to the next destination, fuel logs and reason for travel. 
    • Collect and deliver documentation or goods from and to the appropriate destinations. 
    • Utilise the fuel card in accordance with Company Policy to pay for fuel and toll fees. 
    • Monitor oil levels, tyre pressure, water levels and other technical requirements of the vehicle. Inform the manager verbally or in writing when the vehicle is due for servicing at the appropriate kilometre measure intervals. 
    • Conduct minor repairs on the vehicle as and when required, e.g. change tyres. 
    • Report on any incidents or accidents in accordance with Company Policy and produce an accident report for submission to management.
