    Registered Nurse (x2)

    Summary

    • The Registered Nurse willrender and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospitalstandards and policies. As a Professional Practitioner, the incumbent also is responsible for and is held accountable for his/her own acts and omissions.
    • The incumbent will further be responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, for assessing, planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs.
    • Is a role model in the delivery of evidence-based care and will actively participate in clinical governance, auditing of health records to ensure compliance, ensure allstock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited appropriately, effective risk prevention and management,manage acuity and skill mix to ensure appropriate level of care.

    Requirements

    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
    • Relevant qualification within a specialist area will be advantageous.
    • + 1 - 3 Years working experience in same position.
    • Compliancewith the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislation

    Work Experience

    • Working experience in private healthcare or healthcare funding industry will be advantageous.
    • Relevantworking experience as a Registered Nurse in ICU.
    • Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation

    Knowledge

    • Computer Literacy essential.
    • Fluent communication in English essential.

    Catering Manager

    Summary

    The role of the catering manager (C.M.) is to manage all the catering services of the clinic/hospital to the satisfaction of patients and staff. The C.M. must have a background in business administration and food service systems. Specific areas of business administration that are essential include:

    • Organization
    • Financial and internal controls
    • Cost accounting
    • Budgeting
    • Production management
    • Economics
    • Labour relations
    • Personal administration
    • Marketing and legal responsibilities.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4
    • Food and Beverage National Diploma/Degree qualification

    Work Experience

    • The C.M. must have a background in business administration and food service systems.

    Knowledge

    • Computer literate – must be accurate and pay attention to details
    • Excellent costing skills and Budget knowledge
    • Financial forecasting
    • Menu planning and culinary skills
    • Up to date with the emerging trends in the hospitality industry
    • Food and therapeutic diet knowledge
    • Knowledge and experience of SAP would be an advantage
    • Good organisational and administration skills
    • Proactive, organised and able to multitask and work well under pressure
    • Participative and able to work as part of the team
    • Professional in appearance
    • Flexibility of duty time to suit departmental needs
