    Process Foreman (Mpumalanga)

    PURPOSE

    • This position exists to assist the Process Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Safety

    • Carry and fulfil responsibilities of a MHSA Section 2.9.2 legal appointment
    • Lead team to complying with company SHE strategy and zero harm frame-work
    • Ensure team’s understanding of company safety policies, standards and procedures
    • Identify areas of improvement in line with company strategy
    • Identify SHE training requirements of reports
    • Be part of Incident/ Accident investigation teams
    • Uphold all applicable minimum legal requirements.

    Operations

    • Achieve production and quality targets
    • Manage performance of production shifts
    • Form part of maintenance planning and execution.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Metallurgical, Chemical Engineering or other related Diploma/ Degree.

    EXPERIENCE

    • 5 years experience in coal processing plants
    • A minimum 3 years proven supervisory experience.

    Operations Manager x2 (Gauteng)

    PURPOSE

    • Exciting opportunities exist to provide leadership in Tailings RSA. Implement innovative technology to lead multiple projects, against scope, safety, time, quality, cost and productivity standards.
    • Translate strategic and financial goals, stakeholder management, complex commercial management, operational delivery and oversight.

    Requirements

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Business / Functional Management

    • Participate in setting the strategy for the division and lead the setting of the project strategy
    • Report to senior management on strategic project goals and performance
    • Execute multiple projects to support sustainability of the broader business, including reputation and meeting industry and market requirements

    Financial, Commercial and Contracts Management

    • Manage financial and commercial project close-out
    • Conduct site inspections and finalise tenders in conjunction with commercial / estimating team

    • Ideally eight – ten years’ experience as Operational Section Manager / Engineering Manager in a mining production environment, preferably on complex projects of at least R5 million a month
    • Minimum 10 – 15 years’ mining / production experience, related to remining / tailings projects with emphasis on project management, construction, contract, financial, risk, commercial, legal, operational planning, safety, implementation and HR management

    Senior Superintendent x2 (Gauteng)

    PURPOSE

    • The roles exist to execute multiple large and small-scale projects.
    • Oversee safety, risk, technical and commercial management.
    • Overall systems, processes and people management.
    • Interact vertically with operations teams, clients and senior operations management and horizontally with broad business operations in the Division.

    Requirements

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Proven practical and hands-on experience in the management of leaders, labour and plant resources
    • Planning and commissioning of projects, preferably on tailings or re-mining operations
    • Minimum five years experience in a management role, preferably in a re-mining environment

    Steel Fixer (North West)

    PURPOSE

    • This position exists to ensure construction and maintenance of drains.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Interpret blueprint and specifications to determine the required layout and dimensions of rebar.
    • Cut and shape steel using tools such as pliers, wire cutters, and rebar benders.
    • Place steel in the correct position and secure it using wire or plastic ties.
    • Weld or bolt rebar pieces together as required.
    • Assist shuttering carpenters with form work or pouring concrete depending on the site size and staffing.
    • Ensure that all rebar is installed to the required standards and specifications.
    • Collaborate with the construction team to ensure that the project is completed on time and to the required quality standards.
    • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with health safety regulations.

    Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Proven experience as a steel fixer.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
    • Strong knowledge of rebar installation techniques and procedures.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
    • Strong attention to details and accuracy.
    • Physically fit and able to work in a constructive environment.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of Grade 12.
    • Knowledge of civil Engineering construction process.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 3 years experience in steel fixing.
    • Knowledge of steel fixing and understanding of bending schedule will be advantageous.

    Shutter Hand (North West)

    PURPOSE

    • This position exists to ensure safe and effective construction of several concrete structures in a construction environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Participate in risk assessments and ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
    • Complete pre-shift toolbox talks at the beginning of the shift and report all identified hazards and problems to the supervisor.
    • Avoid incidents that can cause harm to self and others in a team.
    • Should be able to erect scaffolding and do regular inspections on it.
    • Follow written/verbal safe working procedures when executing specific tasks during emergencies as per training.
    • Perform all other ad-hoc jobs for which training has been provided for as and when required.
    • Should be able to safely use power tools like circular saw, jig saw and grinders.
    • Certified and able to perform work at heights.
    • Always wear the correct PPE for each specific task as required.
    • Should be able to assemble shutters for various structures.
    • Interpretation of concrete drawings.
